Amarilia Hotel

Very helpful and friendly receptionists , room had everything we wanted including coffee and tea making facilities , and a balcony and very nice buffet breakfast . We went there twice during our stay in Athens. Location great for the beach , will stay again

Overall an excellent customer experience from a 4 star hotel. The service from front desk, bar and restaurant were all exceptional - friendly and knowledgeable Pre-arrival and post-arrival communication were excellent. We were located on the 6th floor, room 603. Lovely view. The rooms and bathrooms are a bit on the small side, with 2 electrical outlets. Hotel was exceptionally quiet. Lots of hanging space in the closet. Extra hangers were provided. Bed is really comfortable. Shower water pressure was great. Close to the beach, bus stop and easy availability of taxis. Pool hours are 10:30 till 18:30. The air conditioning unit is the quietest in room AC we have experienced. We could purchase metro tickets directly from the front desk. 5 minute ride to wonderful restuarants and Ice cream parlour if you don't want to eat on the waterfront.

Completely average. Spartan/bland design and completely soulless. Staff were also severely lacking in enthusiasm and energy. End of season blues perhaps? They had a Conference in train so maybe we were allocated a poor room? The bathroom was minuscule (for the price) and the bedroom felt like a cream coloured cell despite the ( 2 pieces) cheap art on the walls. Would not return.

We enjoyed staying at Amarilia and recommend the hotel without hesitation. Rooms are well appointed and very clean. We recommend the supérieur ones with direct sea view. We were nicely surprised to be upgraded in a very large room/suite. Thank you

The room was clean the bed was comfy and all the basics were there. The breakfast was simple and plentiful. The pool and area was clean, it would have been nice to have been able to have drinks by the pool too. We had food in the bar one evening, the staff were quick and the food was good. Overall a great place to be by the sea with an easy route to the city center and also The Island where we ere going. I would stay again

We were in Greece for my son's wedding. There were 14 in our group. The Amarilia hotel was the perfect location. The rooms were bright and clean. The hotel has a spacious lobby and bar/restaurant area that was nice for large gatherings to socialize. The breakfast spread had so many offerings, there was something for everyone. The front desk staff went above and beyond. They were extremely helpful. We especially enjoyed the hotel mascot and looked forward to seeing him every day.

Great location, 100 meters from the beach. Excellent service at breakfast, also the pool bar is nice. Nice restaurants in walking distance right on the beach. People at the reception were very friendly and responsive. Only thing I missed was the possibility to buy public transport tickets. Unfortunately there is no other option to buy them in the neighbourhood.

We enjoyed a lovely stay at the Amarilia this summer. Our room was spacious, clean, and delightful, and the staff was helpful and courteous. We also appreciated that we were walking distance to the beach and some great restaurants. We had easy access to everywhere we wanted to go.

My stay, which was supposed to be a pleasant experience, was marred by a series of unacceptable events and poor treatment from the hotel staff, due to the following reasons: Room Condition and Initial Complaint: Upon check-in, we were assigned room 207. Shortly after, we discovered a significant leak coming from under the bathtub. We promptly reported the issue, and the maids were sent to clean it up. They attributed the leak to a "deep cleaning" process. The leak reappeared within ten minutes. We contacted the reception again, and a technician was sent. He reiterated the maids' explanation, which was clearly incorrect, as the leak persisted. Room Change to Lower Quality Accommodation: Due to the hotel's near full capacity, we were moved to room 214, which was substantially worse than our original booking. This room had twin beds instead of the requested double bed, was significantly smaller, and the bathroom was about half the size. Additionally, the air conditioning unit's lid was broken and partially detached. We accepted this room under protest as there were no other options available according to the hotel staff. General Condition of the Rooms: Both rooms 207 and 214 were very outdated and did not reflect the pictures on the hotel’s website. The disparity between the advertised and actual condition of the rooms was substantial, contributing to our overall dissatisfaction. Further Mismanagement and Ongoing Issues: Later that day, reception staff informed us that room 207 was ready and leak-free. Olga from reception accompanied us to inspect the room. It was immediately apparent that the leak had not been resolved; it was merely covered up with a towel. The hotel’s consistent mishandling of the situation and refusal to acknowledge the problem caused significant inconvenience. Request for Refund and Rude Treatment: We requested a partial refund due to the substantial hassle and the downgrade in room quality, which was refused outright. The staff treated us very rudely throughout the process, adding to our distress. The service and accommodations provided were far below acceptable standards, and the manner in which our complaints were handled was wholly unprofessional.
