Grecotel Meli Palace

Wow where do I start! Just returned from a 2 week stay at this most amazing hotel.From the moment we arrived we were made to feel so welcome. I cannot praise the all the extremely hard working staff and management enough. They are always smiling and cannot do enough for you and this really made our holiday. The hotel is immaculately clean and well maintained. The choice and quality of the food was outstanding- in the 2 weeks we were there we managed to eat something different at every meal time. So much beautiful fruits, salads, meats, fresh fish, seafood etc. The staff serve you drinks. Would like to especially mention Irenea who served our drinks first most of the time- her smile and friendliness really was infectious. The grounds are beautiful and having the private beach straight in front of you was fantastic. The beach was always very clean and didn’t really have any issues getting sunbeds. There is a large lawned area that leads to the beach where you can also lay in the sunbeds. I would highly recommend using the spa. I had an amazing full body scrub, mask, massage and facial from the lovely Christina - I felt like I was walking on air when I left and she really is a lovely warm hearted lady. It was my birthday whilst we were away and when we returned to our room there was a bottle of champagne, bottle of wine, fruit and birthday cake - was such a lovely surprise and gesture! Our Rep Christian was one of the best reps we have had- he was very helpful and knowledgeable and easy to find if we had any questions. There is entertainment every night and it was nice that the children’s entertainment was separate which if you don’t have children is great as don’t have to sit through all of it waiting for the adult/family entertainment to come on. However, if we can come when our children were younger I’m sure they would have loved it as it was clear the staff really care about Children. The entertainment was mixed with either the animation team putting on a show or quite often professional acts coming in - the fire and light show was probably the best. If you didn’t fancy the entertainment there were plenty of other areas to sit and relax including the bar which served lovely cocktails using named spirits at no extra cost. The bar staff were also very friendly. The rooms were cleaned daily and the bedding also was changed daily. I cannot remember everyone’s names but you were all amazing. We were also impressed on how much the hotel cares about sustainability. So thank you to all of you for a wonderful holiday. We have found our special place and cannot wait to return next year.

Absolutely brilliant stay here with my son and 2 year old grandson. The rooms are in need of a little tlc but apart from that, everything was perfect. All the staff were so friendly and couldn't do enough to help. Special shout out to Natalia in the restaurant who made my little grandson Rowan feel so special. The pools were great, food amazing and the beach was so relaxed and beautiful. The shop had friendly staff and the entertainment was great. Such a memorable holiday, we will definitely be back. We’ve stayed a few times at this lovely hotel and enjoyed every minute! The staff will go above and beyond to help you, Rosemary on reception was so helpful when we arrived and throughout our stay. For my mums birthday, Ioanna and Maria arranged a surprise birthday breakfast with rosé Prosecco which she loved! the bar staff and lifeguards are all friendly The spa is a little expensive, but worth it, i had two massages from the lovely Christina - the staff are lovely and feet you with a welcome drink and flannel for your face and neck. The food is okay - I preferred the lunch foods to dinner, but there is something for everyone. My favourite was the pitta and gyros meat that they often did at lunch time. at lunchtime there is usually pizza which isn’t available at dinner time. there is always chips and spaghetti bolognaise during lunch/dinner so bonus if you love those. Sometimes the chicken or pork skewers were quite underdone so i tended to avoid those. great selection of bread, salad, sauces and condiments. the restaurant staff are lovely and are always over very quickly and it’s clear the restaurant manager cares about his job! There’s a gift shop which sells some grecotel products, some greek snacks, pool inflatables, and suncream etc. it is very expensive though Every time we’ve been the a la carte has not been open but they have opened that area as a bar during the evenings which really splits the queue away from the main bar. the same bar is open during the day and serves buffet, soft drinks, icecream and alcohol. The beach is private and lovely, i would reccomend snorkelling as a group of us saw some turtles! There’s one adult pool and one kids pool The entertainment is okay, I can see how people can get bored but Sisi and Malia are a short taxi ride away The rooms are nice and clean but slightly bland and could do with some artwork or something. we had a huge balcony at the front of the hotel but another room in our party had a very small balcony - Rosemary offered straight away to see if they could swap but we were honestly fine about it! What a wonderful holiday we just had, the staff are so friendly the hotel is clean and the food has been amazing, we didn't want to go home. Rooms are a little dated but clean and comfortable. Entertainment is not the best at night, but the daytime programs are good. The spa, however, was phenomenal. Christina was superb and so friendly. We will be back next year

We stayed here for a week at the start of July. It is a fantastic resort with everything you could ever need for a relaxing week away. It is literally on the beach. The beach is lovely, the sea is warm and safe and there are enough sun beds for everyone - they are still available at 10am so no getting up at the crack of dawn. The food is good with plenty to chose from every day. The only gripe is that drinks are waiter service; which works fine but sometimes there is a slight wait. The entertainment team are superb. Jack and Eli are absolutely brilliant. Always lots to do and they do it with enthusiasm and good humour (rather than just going through the motions). Volleyball at 4.30pm is a daily must. They are an absolute credit to the hotel. The rooms are slightly dated but more than adequate. The evening entertainment is varied. The light and fire show is excellent- the ‘circus’ not so much (slightly odd and distasteful) Overall a cracking resort. The staff do everything they can to make sure you have a good stay. Any niggles I had were dealt with immediately with no fuss. I highly recommend staying here.

We are just leaving Meli Palace after having a wonderful 10 days of food, entertainment and service. We can't fault the hotel, the service or the staff. And swimming with a turtle was a huge bonus! Thank you so much for a wonderful stay!!! We hope to be back soon.

Wow what a hotel … the staff at this hotel couldn’t do enough to help us they went above a beyond what we expected especially the following who were superb. Rosemary Crisoula Ioanna Antonis Anna Alex Chrysa Alexandros We can’t thank them enough they made our holiday complete. We had a great send off with plenty of hugs which we didn’t expect. A very clean hotel superb selections of food always something different plenty of choices. The drinks were superb best “Pina Colada ever. Bar staff were great. I suggest they could open the bottom bar in the evening too which could help along with some of the rooms could be up updated ( but you are not in your room a lot ) but that’s our only criticism. It has its own private beach with life guard ( they also sweep it everyday and clean down sun loungers) which is lovely plenty of sun loungers so there’s no rush to put your towels out like some hotels I fact they don’t allow it. Towels are provided so you don’t have to bring any from home as are hairdryers in rooms. The sea is quite stoney but clear and superb for snorkelling and with the proper shoes very accessible. The hotel is not far from Sissi a lovely original Greek village which has a lovely harbour lovely quality shops and bars not spoilt by commercialism. You can walk to it but also the hotel will ring a taxi for you. If you want a relaxed holiday with great staff who can’t do enough for you, excellent food and drink then you can’t go wrong with this hotel … we loved it and would recommend it to anyone. What a brilliant holiday! We stayed for a week in late September and the weather was a wonderful 28 degrees. The communal areas of the hotel are fantastic but like everyone says, the rooms could do with modernising. However, they are spotlessly clean and comfortable. It’s great to have kettle and fridge in the room. The food is fabulous- Greek salad twice a day made me happy! Loved the Greek yogurt with honey for breakfast. Drinks are great as well. We loved sitting by the pool which at this time of year was all adults but would imagine loads of kids playing in it in the summer months. The sea was fabulous to swim in as well. Entertainment was fine but we also enjoyed just sitting and chatting. Ready to come back next year!

Very friendly staff in a nice and quite location. But the hotel as a building needs a lot of new improvement-lifting. Especially the roons, need a huge lifting! The rooms decoration is very poor! The rooms furniture such as the beds, are old, not modern and the mattress of the beds are in a very bad and old condition. It needs refreshment!
