The hotel was nice, stuffs are very helpful and enthusiastic. I only didn't like the bed it wasn't comfortable at all. The hotel has all facilities, including a swimming pool., also it's close to the port, and the front beach

An oldie but goodie! The Rex is probably one of oldest hotels in Vung Tau and is currently under renovation. The new rooms are spacious and clean. The staff are a fun and friendly bunch, very helpful and accommodating. Bars, restaurants are close, some great coffee shops all within walking distance. I recommend a balcony room overlooking the pool with a sea view!

Location is really convenient. Close to beach. There is big swimming pool. Breakfast is buffet with many selections.

Considering that it was a late booking, I guess the price was a little higher than what I expected. Lesson learnt: book early to get more options & better prices! Otherwise, the room was bigger than I expected. There were actually 2 double beds instead of one for 2 persons (interesting!). And there was also a small empty en-suite pantry with a kitchen sink that I didn't have to use. The room itself was a little old. but clean. The best part of the room was the view from the balcony. Lovely view of the sea, the poolside & the town's view facing the coastline. All in all, worth the money you pay for. Oh, and the breakfast buffet was passable. Some basic choices, nothing fancy, mostly Vietnamese flair with some noodles, fried rice, cereal & bread. Plus, they had an egg counter to cook eggs the way you want, either scrambled, sunny side up or omelette. And the nightlife is comparable to Ho Chi Minh City, vibrant, bright & colourful.

Good location if you want to be near to the beach, eateries & a few museums. Not far from other sightseeing spots. Just get around by Grab. Very afforable. The only drawback for my case is the bed. It's too worn out to the extend I could feel the metal springs of the mattress till it hurts my back during my sleep. So, immediately check the bed mattress when you check into the room.

Cheap but spacious room with a good view of the beach, helpful staff and right beside triangle park. Perfect stay for a quick trip to VT.

Fantastic hotel. The staff are excellent. Very polite and helpful. Near to beach, bars, and restaurants. Big swimming pool, fast WiFi. Breakfast is ok with a choice of European food. Book this if staying in Vung Tau

When I arrived they told me at the front desk they had upgraded me to a better room at no charge. I had booked a city view room. When I unpacked and opened the curtains, I was surprised had had a view of the back parking lot and I was only on the second floor. Other that that room was fine. Breakfast is not great.
