The Villas, Wadduwa

A very relaxing stay after a busy 7 day tour, just what we needed. The staff were very attentive, nothing was too much trouble. We have a lovely ground floor room with a patio for skiing out leading into the well kept gardens and pool with the Indian ocean just a few steps away. The bathroom with its partial outside element was lovely. Meals were buffet style with a variety to suit everyone, the also do a mean bread and butter pudding. The reception manager was very accommodating when we asked to swap rooms to be further away The gym is basic but had a couple of treadmills and bikes with one multi gym. Tip If you can, get a room the furthest away from reception as there is a train line just outside the gates which if you are a light sleeper may disturb you. .

During our trip to SriLanka, We stayed 3 nights in the villas hotel, Great place, very kind and great staff, great food, room conditions, garden, pool, massage service, security, house keeping,... Thank you All. Hope to see you again soon.

We had a peaceful stay at The Villas Wadduwa by Amaya this November. Went there with our whole family crew (with 3 little kids) to celebrate my spouse's birthday. The Villas truly live up to the name and elegance with rich Sri Lankan traditional villas set up starting from the entrance itself. We reserved a suite villa and it was good. Comparatively small but had everything that we needed. I like the verandah opening towards the beach side. Kids had a great time playing in the sand and beach is just few meters away. Amazing view there. The next best thing was beautiful Plunge pool. It was quite spacious for our 3 kids to enjoy and i think it suits well for a couple too. Next good thing was their food and the flavours. Even though the spread was small, taste was truly good. Really love their stuff with beef and traditional Sri Lankan menus. so flavourful. Quite friendly F&B staff was there lead by Alex (F&B head) who is very helpful. Overall i can say the stay was good. We enjoyed it. Thank you The Villas Wadduwa team.

We finished our tour of Sri Lanka here and it was a nice place to relax. After a very busy first week or so, lounging by the pool and having a swim was much needed! The food was excellent, the staff were so friendly and welcoming, the beach being so close was a plus too! We saw some amazing sun sets and were able to have a walk into the town to get supplies. All in all a nice relaxing stay!

Stayed here for 6 nights to relax after traveling around Sri Lanka. We were half board and the food was fabulous. It was very quiet and relaxing. Our room was spacious and clean with a fabulous bathroom that had 2 showers. It’s only a small hotel with 35 rooms so it never felt crowded. The staff were all amazing especially the bartender Thisara and reception manager Ishani who made us feel special and nothing was too much trouble. The town is about 10 minutes walk and has everything you need. We didn’t swim in the sea as it was a bit rough but used the pool everyday which was lovely and warm. The pool man was always on hand with fresh towels. The general manager was very friendly and helpful. Would love to return here and recommend to anyone wanting a chilled relaxing holiday

THE Villa Wadduwa – A Nightmare Stay! This is the worst villa in Wadduwa! While the place may look charming and beautiful for relaxation, don’t be fooled—the experience is absolutely terrible. The manager is horrible and disgusting, with no sense of hospitality. He treats tour guides like low-class workers and has no idea about the difference between a guide and cleaning staff. He forces them all to eat in the same miserable dining area, which is completely unacceptable. The staff downstairs openly smoke bidis, and when I complained, the manager arrogantly said, "Go eat somewhere else!" His attitude is disgraceful—the worst manager I have ever encountered in the tourism industry. I strongly suggest NEVER choosing this place for your vacation! The management is a disaster, and the service is appalling. Stay far away from this horrible villa!
