I know everyone else is generally rating the Townhouse quite highly, but we had the worst night’s sleep we have ever had in an Australian hotel in room 315 of the Townhouse. It had been a 34 degree Celsius day in Wagga. As we made our way to our room on the third floor, the hallway felt like a furnace. There was no air conditioning in the hallways, but no biggie. As long as our room was cool we didn’t care. We put on the air conditioning and went out for dinner. Unfortunately, the air conditioning unit in our room wasn’t working properly. When we got back from dinner the room was still pretty warm. There was a whole lot of noise with very little cool air. I reckon our room temperature hovered around 25-26 all night. With a long drive ahead of us the next day, it was stressful to know we would not be well rested. So no, we did not have a good stay at this place. I would strongly advise anyone who has booked accommodation at the Townhouse during summer to check the air conditioning in their rooms before staff leave for the night. Otherwise I agree with other comments that the location is good, but the internal windows looking out onto a corridor are weird. Our room was compact but clean and refurbished. We will definitely go somewhere else the next time we are in Wagga.
