Always love Holiday inn express. This one was awful. Their web page says rooms are redone but pardon our dust . UNDERSTATEMENT. OURroom must have been done by a small child. I'll submit pics plus not even a toilet paper holder. Breakfast with no person in the basement. The workers had to help my husband lift each end of the luggage carrier up over the floor they were working on. Coffee set up outside the elevator. My check in was done in the MESSIEST little office. We will not return.

I made reservations for one night for two rooms, one for me and one for my friends. I was very disappointed with the stay. I was not bothered by the pool being closed but breakfast, such as it was, was disappointing. Coffee was on a different floor!! I talked to the desk person about this and she was unbothered by this inconvenience. The person that checked us in last night was very friendly and helpful. The person that checked us out this morning was not helpful. When told that one of our rooms did not have a microwave, she said, “all the rooms don’t have microwaves”. With all of the competition around this location I was hoping for better service. Hopefully the renovation will include service training. We are on a long road trip and this was our first disappointing experience.

Very nice property, location and service. They have a nice modern bar in the lobby and a great breakfast. Great location on the north side of the city. I would recommend this hotel. The staff is super friendly and attentive. I had no issues and have stayed here several times.

never again North Walker Grand Rapids They billed a extra $750 to my credit card for a extra room for 4 nights. They will not answer the phone and will not return messages or e-mails. I even tried IHG customer servive will no help. Next I will have to file a police report for fraud.

I’m shocked this was in the fed room list. Asked for early check in . No attempt. Asked for handicap shower no attempt. In fact removed from my request. Got there room wasn’t clean. Dust , rings on table carpet had crumbs. Told desk in morning she apologized. Returned from meeting for work room not fixed. Garbage still there, They took two towels that’s it. Bed not even made!! Toilet still dirty black ring inside and previous guest finger prints Bobby pin still on table. No coffee even!Young man at desk offered nothing. Weak sorry! Spoke to woman at check out again! She offered points. Still don’t have. Fed Rooms? Boss will be speaking to travel. How disappointing. What’s happened to this place???

This was a nice hotel. Clean, comfortable and safe. The breakfast was good (the lady stocking the buffet was very nice and welcoming) and you could tell that the hotel concentrated on cleanliness. Would stay here again, for sure. Parking was convenient as well.

This hotel I would not recommend. Me and my family check in to the hotel (had booked a suite with 2 beds +pull out couch) they gave us a room but it didn't have what we had booked. They gave us a second room as a compromise. The room my children were staying in nothing worked. (TV, shower, phone, fridge, toilet, lights, fan) later the next day they came to our room saying our room was finally ready. The suite room had a very pundit smell. There was all the same problems as the first room but now the clock also didn't work. The beds were uncomfortable and the were divits in all the beds we had called the front desk to fix these things such as the toilet and they didn't come to award these things till after we got there (3+ hours) Instead of being in the room all day we decided it was time for the pool. I went down in to the basement and looked around the pool was surprising Clean but the gym had a very horrible strong smell that was there all 4 nights we were here. The breakfast wasn't all that great but it was okay. The kitchen staff lady was nice. Very friendly. The staff was friendly. Something else that was wrong was the ice mechanics. Don't use those mechanics. They have mold growning in them plus there was mold in all the bathroom rooms we stayed in.

This hotel needs updating and the hot tub said out of order indefinitely. IGH needs to tell people this ahead of time. especially families with kids. Beds were noisy. It was an average stay. I would probably try another Holiday Inn next time.

I spend a lot of time on the road for my profession. This is an average $150.00 hotel. Staff was friendly and attentive. However their needs to be some attention given to overall maintenance. The rooms were clean but in disrepair. The food was good their was a good selection. Pancakes, omelets, sausage,biscuits and gravy, as well as standard fare.
