New hotel super clean and fresh, but the folks working here give the impression that they couldn’t care less. When I arrived I asked for water. Told the them that I’d already checked in. They said they’d have to give me a keycard but if that was an issue I could cancel at no charge and go somewhere else.no was considered. Why would I leave because I can’t use my Hilton app to open the door? It ends up their WiFi was not working. I was finally able to get that information which made a little more sense as to why they said that. WiFi was not an issue for me. The next morning I go downstairs and I ask if I can have a bottled water. Again, they couldn’t have cared less. There’s a guy that starts speaking for the desk agent I was speaking with. He had a beard. He interrupts and asks if I got water last night. I said yes. He then asked if I got two waters last night. I said yes again. Then he said that’ll be $2.00 for a water now. In my 30 or so years staying at Hilton, being a Diamond or not, I do t ever remember being questioned and denies. Especially like that. No thank you for being a lifetime Diamond. No appreciation for my loyalty all these years. If he really did want to or need to charge me, there’s a better way to handle. Like a hundred better ways.
