River House Inn

This place is like coming home. Everyone is so nice and if you need anything. They'll make it happen. Food is awesome, great cuisine, seasonal and fresh. Room have a nostalgic charm that connects you to a more slower paced and relaxing lifestyle.

We stayed in the recently renovated carriage house room. Love the changes! Everyone is so friendly & helpful. The food was exceptional! I love the coffee at the door every morning and the heated blanket on the bed was a nice touch. We liked having the front outside seating covered.

The food was fabulous. My husband had the best filet of his life and he is a world traveler. The breakfast was unique, the scrambled eggs were moist and tasty. The ambience of the restaurant was charming; we had cocktails on the porch which overlooked the river and ate at a quaint table for two with a window view. The accommodations were very comfortable. Stayed in a loft room with a large bathtub in the middle of its own room versus the bathroom. King size bed was very comfortable and we were served coffee in our rooms in the morning. The staff was super friendly and very customer service oriented. We will definite visit them again.

A quiet, relaxing place in the middle of nowhere. In you plan to do just nothing than sitting on the porch in a rocking chair, it‘s the perfect place to be. We exatly did that on the second day of our stay. If you’re traveling with kids we cannot recommend that Inn because there is nothing to do for them except board games and books we brought from home. Nevertheless we had three great nights, enjoyed great pizza at the Pie on the Mountain, Which was only a 15 mins drive to Lansing. What we learned was, that the Inn is a good restaurant to dine and listen to the piano player. We cannot evaluate the Menu since we didn’t dine there; again because we were traveling with a 11 year old, who would have hardly find anything on the menu. BUT if you’re traveling without kids, it will be a quiet and relaxing experience.

The whole weekend was a delightful experience The Food was dynamite as well as the staff The lodging was clean and staff was anxious to make your stay perfect. The ambiance of the front porch and the new river was quite a combination and the bar items were top shelf

Had a family dinner at the Inn. Friendly staff, good food and intolerable volume in the dining room. I’ve been in quieter bars after midnight. The noise level/acoustics is a deal breaker. If you can tolerate it - enjoy it. We won’t be back - ever.
