The original name of the hotel is “MAKAPETOR” (which translates as “victory” in the Minahasa main language). Nice simple rooms. Beautiful decoration of the hallways with interesting framed photos of Jerusalem and Bethlehem. There is a beautiful collage of photos of the traditional folklore - warriors of the Minahasa region. There’s also a nice framed vintage 90’s football jersey of PERSMA, the old name of the local team. The only problem was the tap /sink didn’t work. The staff is very friendly. Everything else is nice. From what I saw, nowadays the hotel operates more as a motel. There is a café called Dreamer just next door. They serve delicious Tinutuan (healthy local soup made of vegetables, pumpkin and spinach).
