Premier Inn Newcastle (Washington)

Great experience! An overnight stop over which excelled! Room upgraded and extremely comfortable. Spotless, lovely bed, all the things you need plus some thoughtful extras made this stay outstanding. Staff are welcoming and friendly and care about their guests. Quiet nights sleep ready for the drive next day.

We stayed at this Premier Inn while dropping our daughter at university since the one in town was full. It exceeded expectations even though I was already expecting the reliable comfort and service usual at Premier Inn. The staff were all lovely, the room was clean and very comfortable, and the breakfast freshly cooked and unlimited. We had a relaxing stay after a long trip and left refreshed for the journey home.

I was pleasantly surprised at my stay at this Premier Inn Newcastle (Washington) especially when I discovered that I was staying in a Premier plus room. The room was a great upgrade, smart, modern and very comfortable. Nice surprise was wireless charging pad next to bed table to charge my phone plus USB charging integrated into the wall sockets. I had a great nights sleep. Breakfast was great and staff so very friendly especially the breakfast staff. Would definitely stay again if travelling to Newcastle or Durham. The hotel is nicely located between Durham and Newcastle, as I was actually going to Durham.

Stayed here for one night as a base for accessing attractions in the area. Great welcome, the room was very clean and tidy. Provided a modern room, plenty of USB charge points provided. Booked the unlimited breakfast, which is eaten on site from 6.30am. Food is cooked to order and you can order again if needs be. Had a fantastic welcome from Sharon, a very pleasant and friendly lady making everyone feel welcome. Breakfast was nice and we loved that it is brought to your table. We would definitely stay here again, convenient for what we wanted in the area.

The staff here are super helpful, friendly and provide a great service. We used it as a base to celebrate our brothers 40th and daughters 18th. It was a great weekend. On the Saturday we went to the local park and drove to the e beach on the afternoon.

Took the grandsprogs away for a couple of days, first to Beamish Living Museum and, the following day, on the way back home, to The Forbidden Corner. This Premier Inn was close to Beamish and, as we are Whitbread Shareholders, we get certain perks, although the online booking procedure for Premier Inns doesn't have a facility for this. We had a great day at Beamish and arrived about 4.30 to check in. The receptionist was very friendly and efficient and the family room was spotless but, not enough towels for the four of us. Problem? Absolutely not! Sorted within two minutes. The restaurant only does breakfasts, but there is a Toby Inn on site. But we don't like carveries! However, the receptionist recommended Champs Sports Bar across the road as having better, freshly-cooked food and better value for money. So we went there, and were glad we did. Back in the room, the bathroom has soft lighting so we were able to leave the door open a bit as a nightlight and put the kids to bed. The beds were extremely comfy and a good nights sleep was enjoyed by all. Good, hearty, unlimited breakfast the following morning, and the issue with the Shareholder Cards was sorted by the manager and the money returned to my card. Would heartily recommend this hotel.

we loved the hotel ,great service , really nice breakfast a very good variety of food plus the coffee was amazing . the rooms have just been revamped very comfortable , we liked it that much we are going back in september. the rooms can be quite expensive , so try to book about a month in advance through tripadvisor for a better rate.

We were going to a friends party at Champs so the location is great (as was Champs!). From the welcome to leaving, staff were great and friendly. The room we were in must have been updated recently as it seemed very fresh and well equipped. Janice who helped us check in and was on duty when we returned from our night out was lovely. A real asset to the hotel. We’d definitely recommend a stay.

David the receptionist made us feel “special”. Best welcome ever! Totally different feel to the last stay in a Premier. Room lovely and clean. Waitress at breakfast also very welcoming and helpful. Sorry did not see your name badge. If we are back this well guess where will stay!
