Generator Hotel Washington DC recensioner

Really private hostel (they have curtain for the bed), good lobby space, far from metro but near bus station, many restaurants around there, price is a bit too expensive

The location is good , not far from White house and Downtown.The room is large with four beds in room. Bathroom is clean.

No AC for more than a week already

It was nice and clean. I enjoyed the stay. You can borrow a hair dryer at the front. Its location is quite a bit far to walk to the National mall but I enjoyed walking the streets. And all the roomates were very considerate and quiet. I appreciate that.

Very nice hostel! The bed was very comfortable, plenty of storage! Very very clean, Definitely would come back for the stay! However, would appreciate it if there was a hairdryer in the room or shampoo.. i didnt realised the shampoo needs to be brought on a poster inside the lift..

All in all good. Has a gym and a common area to relax. Good classy furniture . No breakfast included though . Price is alright. Near dupont circle about 800 m to that metro. There is a bar opening evenings and a restaurant with coffee and food in the mornings

Good place to stay overall. Maybe more shared bathroom would be more convenient.

It would be great if the shared room could eliminate the sound of next door from room to room at the max

A couple extra hidden fees, like $5 per towel other than the first one. If you are a woman, I'd recommend you book the female-only dorms. I stayed in the mixed dorms as a woman and I still felt safe, however. Good for the price.

There was no shampoo or soap dispenser in shower. There was no way to dry your hands. The storage lockers didn’t fit suitcases. The bed was comfortable. There was a good breakfast available. A omelet with a salad, added avocado and half a slice of rye bread was about $30. But a good breakfast. The hotel was comfortable and the lobby stylish and spacious.

I arrived at Generator late night. They were kind, and friendly.

Good hotel, friendly and professional staff. Parking is a normal fee for DC (which means expensive), spaces are tight in an underground parking garage. Many of the spaces were occupied by old furniture, which meant that sometimes the garage was overcrowded. The rooms were nice and comfortable. The hotel policy of not changing towels for four days is an attempt to be more environmentally conscious, but I think they’re overdoing it.

Nice decor in common areas and very comfortable beds. Great views from my level (8) They charge addition $5 something resort tax per night, which was not mentioned on booking description. The hotel coffee shop was so expensive, and I couldn’t find any drinking water fountains. No food or drink allowed in rooms. Common area filled with people working on laptops in the evening, not very social. Restaurant on site had great food, but not vegetarian friendly, and was so dark couldn’t read the menu.
