Waterford Viking Hotel

The room was clean and spacious. Ample of parking lots. The duty staff was very helpful to assist us as we had a punctured tyre. Appreciate that.

I recently attended a concert in the SETU, and stayed at The Viking Hotel, which was a mere 3 minute drive to the venue . I was in the Kingsize Superior room. The room was so spacious and the decor very stylish. From the carpet to the headboard, and the tiles in the bathroom, I loved both the colours and obvious scheme that pulled everything together. Prints,depicting local landmarks were a great touch, giving a sense of place and identity to the hotel. Everything you could need was in the room: an abundance of sockets, ironing board, lighted mirrors and even a fridge! My teenage son was particularly appreciative of the smart tv. We ate in the restaurant before the concert and found that the menu had plenty of choice. My son opted for the braised beef and gave it high praise indeed. Portion sizes were generous in all courses. I found the staff to be friendly and welcoming. I slept so soundly that night, I missed the breakfast service by over an hour! However, I consoled myself by having a refreshing rainfall shower before my departure. Would definitely return.

Had a very pleasant stay in the Viking Hotel Waterford last weekend. First impressions were that the hotel was clean and had a nice vibrant atmosphere. The room was very spacious with a huge bed. The bedroom and bathroom were well cleaned. We had breakfast on both mornings and dinner on one evening in the bar. The quality of the food and the service were both excellent. We look forward to going back again at some stage in the future. The only slight negative is that it is located around 5km from the city centre. There is public transport nearby though and taxis are plentiful.
