SpringHill Suites Chicago Waukegan/Gurnee

Broken fire pit, broken water fall, was told they've been broken for YEARS. Asked for ice and they told me the ice machine in the kitchen was broken and I had to go down the hallway. Broken refrigerator in the Market. Market was empty with barely anything in it. Behind my TV stand and night stand there was a lot of dust and trash. Unbelievable. Didn't see one manager my entire stay, the front desk said they were not there for whatever reason. Asked for towels and they never came. Asked for a 4:00pm check out which is GAURANTEED for Titanium members, was told the new "manager" told them they can't offer it. Completely unacceptable and I will open a case with Marriott Bonvoy. I needed a shuttle to Abbvie but they told me none of the managers never came in and they had no driver. What an awful stay, I spent over $200.00 a night for this. I will also let my co workers know not to stay here anymore.

Terrible hotel. I have no idea how this hotel has above a 4.0 rating. I would not recommend it. It’s in need of a lot of TLC. The mattresses are old with a big dip in the middle of the bed. There’s no mattress cover and the sheets are so thin you can see the mattress print right through them. The pillows are floppy and super soft. The floors are dirty. The walls are dirty. It’s just gross. I don’t want to sleep here tonight but I’m going to stick it out because I don’t want to make a fuss. I would never come back here and definitely don’t recommend it.

This was our first stay at this location. We love staying at Spring HIll Suites. From the moment we checked in we had a great experience. The room was very nice, clean and they accomodated my request to be on the top floor. It was very quiet and no loud noise from other guests. Breakfast was your typical hotel provided breakfast, very clean and food was hot. The front desk clerks both at check in and check out were very friendly and helpful. If we are in the area again I would definitely stay at this location.

This was a great place to stay - big rooms, clean, well-kept facilities in a great location near grocery stores, coffee shops and restaurants. Hotel appeared aged in relation to many other Springhill Suites we have stayed at but we were comfortable the whole time and the staff was excellent in their service and help!

This room was great. The pillows were flat. We asked for fluffier ones, which they didn't have any extras. I think it's time to invest in newer ones. We went to Walmart to purchase one. The swimming pool was cold. We wish it would have been heated. We stayed 4 days and didn't swim at all. The breakfast was phenomenal. The two women brought out more of everything that ran out. Kudos to them both. We would love to stay here again.

I stayed here for a wedding, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. The air conditioning worked and ain’t have any issues with WiFi. The staff was exceptionally friendly, making the overall experience enjoyable. Great stay, and would return.

Staff very accommodating and worked together to ensure comfortable stay. Tracy made the breakfast experience worth it making sure we had everything we needed and went out of her way to clean up after us and other guests. She insisted on keeping us in a well maintained environment. Lisa in the front desk also had great customer service with a positive attitude and great smile. Room was clean, bed comfortable and plenty of space.

We were there for a navy graduation and chose this place for the larger rooms, firepit and outdoor area as a way to visit with my son before he shipped off. The firepits been broken a year, there’s really only 7 chairs and was made to look larger than the smoking area it is. They plan on turning the firepit into a plant bed. We were informed at check in no maid service (which was fine but no trash dumped, no new towels either), and a breakfast that shouldn’t even be thought of as a breakfast. They didn’t even have creamer all 4 days. The beds must be the original. The springs are in your back. I went to my 70 year old dads room and was the same. I slept on the small chaise. This is not a Marriott by true standards. This is a hotel that everything must be the original and they are using covid 2 years out to claim for its less than acceptable standards. Save your $. Ask questions to the hotels when you book. This one was terrible

Room could have been cleaner. There was hair still in the shower. Baseboards was full of dust. The room only had one set of towels and when we call the front desk for more towels, we had to go down and get them ourselves and was told they didn't have any more clean wash cloths. So we went to walmart to get towels for our stay. Kids running up and down the hallway playing tag at 12am while we were trying to settle in for the night. Beds were not comfortable at all. Sofa bed filthy. Checkout time was at 12pm however house keeping kept knocking on the door at 8:30am saying they were ready to clean the room yet our kids were still sleeping. For my family and I to have driven 16hrs for a family reunion, this was by far our worst hotel experience ever. Definitely will not stay at Springhill Suites Chicago Waukegan/Gurnee ever again.
