I arrived at Vythiri Resort around 2 PM and was immediately greeted with warm hospitality. My accommodation—a stunning 80-foot high treehouse—was accessed via jeep. The climb up the spiral staircase rewarded me with breathtaking views of the rainforest, and the sounds of birds and a nearby stream added to the serene atmosphere. After freshening up, I joined the other guests for high tea, enjoying a delightful spread that included sweet and savory treats. I then explored the 20-acre resort, passing lush greenery, a pool, sports facilities, and an Ayurvedic spa where I booked a treatment. The nature’s pool, formed by a running stream, was a peaceful highlight, though the rain kept me from sitting. In the evening, I attended a nature talk by the resort guide, Mr. Sijo, who shared fascinating insights about local wildlife and the ecosystem. Dinner was a feast with a variety of dishes, and afterward, I spent time in the indoor games area, enjoying table tennis, carrom, and pool. That night, I returned to my treehouse, where I experienced the peaceful solitude of the treetop retreat. The next morning, I joined a nature walk through the forest, spotting exotic butterflies and a waterfall. Afterward, I enjoyed a traditional Kerala breakfast, including dosa, idli, and pazhamkanji. Before leaving, I treated myself to a rejuvenating Ayurvedic massage at the spa. The entire stay was an escape into nature, filled with unforgettable moments of tranquility, adventure, and relaxation.
