Meilin Holiday Hotel recensioner

An impressive hotel with very modern facilities in the spacious clean room, superb customer service from front desk to room cleaning! Very ideal location, convenient to get daily groceries, and food. Also it is very close to some popular restaurants, as you can reach by foot. Like the free coffee for guests at the lobby area! Will definitely stay at Meilin again if ever coming back to Wenchang!

This is really a very nice hotel, unexpected in a relatively small town. The room looks new and is very comfortable. I especially liked the cosy seating area near the window. Staff was exceptionally friendly as well. The immediate surroundings of the hotel are not very interesting, but the location is very convenient nonetheless: walking distance (20-30 minutes) to Qilou Old Street, only 2 bus stops away from the train station and also close to local buses to tourist areas such as Tonggu Ridge (though I've read not all sites there are open to foreigners, I mainly wanted to see Gusong fishing village and that's no problem) and Gaolong Bay. The only area of improvement is that this hotel has a tendency to keep calling customers before their stay (3 times I got an SMS in Chinese saying something like "Meilin Hotel is going to call you, please pick up", followed by a call from an unknown number). I can communicate in simple Chinese but am not great at doing phone calls in Chinese and in any case I hate this kind of insistent phone calls. I didn't pick up but after the second call checked with Trip.com what was wrong, expecting some major problem. It turned out the hotel just wanted to confirm a small change I had made to my booking, which had already been confirmed in the app anyway... While this attitude is perhaps meant as service, I perceived it as annoying and superfluous and I would strongly suggest the hotel stops harassing customers with phone calls unless there's a real emergency. Having said this, the staff on site in the hotel was exceptionally friendly and polite; this is one of the few hotels in China where staff members actually greeted me when I walked past reception, which was much appreciated! I definitely recommend this hotel and would stay here again if I ever visited Wenchang again.

FIVE STARS ***** SUPERB SERVICE & CLEANLINESS! My thanks and appreciation to staff Xiao Hong, Xiao Ying and Xiao Xian which make our stay extremely warm and pleasant! Other hotels may have facilities, but nothing beat their proactive services from the hearts. The rooms are also cleaned daily without requesting. Thumbs up to the Boss for well-trained staff and general good housekeeping. Highly recommended for anyone staying in WenChang, Hainan. You will be pleasantly surprised! The hotel is clean and new, the bed is comfortable. It's about 3 km away from wenchang station about ¥9 to ¥10 by DIDI App. There is a cantonese restaurant nearby walking distance 600m towards the main road.

Though room is not big but well designed that you feel comfortable staying in the hotel. Staff is courteous and helpful. Value for money.

Everything is ok, especially people service. The clients all showed their professional and proactiveness.

Newly renovated hotel; super clean; excellent staff; absolutely the best service I have encountered in my lifetime of travel; 86 inch TV provides a theater environment in our room; USB outlet and cable all make this place the best hotel to stay. Its free Hainan coffee is so much better than Luckin and Starbucks. This is definitely THE PLACE to stay in WengChang.

5 star all the way. Would not be surprised if occupancy level can get to 90 pc because of transport convenience and the nice attached airport shopping mall. Even single travellers like me will look for a hotel such as this. Only 1 suggestion. My second stay today after a short 3 day away.. this time the fridge did not have complimentary drinks. I was looking forward to them. Housecleaning probably forgot. Keep up the good work!
