Hotel Jungfraublick Wengen

Amazing view A+. The deck looked out on the mist beautiful town. Room was very modest and looked out on hotel landscape. Felt like a basic place to crash after skiing. Restaurant food was good although they were turning people away half full. Maybe due to late season staff. Hotel is a 10 min walk up the hill from town

This was a great hotel during out travels. Wonderful and informative staff is willing to help with everything. Great location with wonderful views. Restaurant on site was great for dinner and complimentary breakfast was wonderful also.

Wonderful place! The location was outstanding. The views from our room are now my iPhone wallpaper. The staff were very friendly and helpful, multi-lingual and accommodating. The deck outside and the room balcony had incredible views. The breakfast and deck menu were delicious. Easy access to the train station, the gondola to Männlichen, the Jungfraujoch, Grindelwald and Kleine Scheidegg. We even hiked from the hotel down to Lauterbrunnen for dinner one night. It was our favorite location on the trip!

The best characteristic of this hotel is that it is sparkling clean and obviously cared for with attention. However, the compliments end there. Place this hotel anywhere else anywhere else in the world other than in the Swiss Alps and you would think that you are at an American Holiday Inn. It’s basic in size and furnishings, lacks charm or character and is noisy. The noise mostly comes from the balcony rooms which adjoins all your neighbors balconies as well as their conversations, smoking and children. This is significant in the summer months because the only source of ventilation is through the window and door off the balcony. Of course there is also a lovely view of the mountains off the balcony, but there are many other lovely views all around this region. There are also many other hotels which include views as well as more distinctive and charming accommodation. Also beware: the breakfast is about Holiday Inn style and there are no healthy or vegan options if that matters to you. One last note, there is no staff staying in the hotel overnight. You’re on your own if there is a need or emergency.

We stayed here for a week or so during a trip to Switzerland in September. We had a first class experience. The hotel is well located with incredible views and is a great base to hike from. Rooms were clean and comfortable, breakfasts were good and the hotel is close enough to Wengen to allow for easy access to restaurants for dinner.

We stayed for 2 nights. Rooms are a bit small for 2 adult and 1 child, but its ok. Breakfast is open buffet and delicious. 5 minutes away by walking to the lift. First day they take you from the train station, its not easy to go there with luggages.
