Xbalanque

Would definitely recommend a stay at Xbalanque! Shoutout to Mike at Lotus Restaurant. He was such a joy and even agreed to serve us dinner when we showed up 10 minutes before the restaurant closed. The food was also delicious. We ate there at least 10 times during our 5 day stay and in particular I need to RAVE about the BALEADAS at breakfast! Soooo so good. The seafood risotto at dinner was also delightful and both desserts on the menu (key lime pie and tres leches cake) were a must-try! I did have reasons for docking the hotel by 1 star. First of all, we were the only guests at the entire resort for the first 2 days, which was awesome! Private pool, private beach, private restaurant! However, our room was not in the main building (the one shown in all the photos) and we had to walk up a very steep hill in an overgrown path to get to a series of buildings on the street behind. I think they could have advertised that the room was not in the main building at time of purchase, and definitely could have upgraded our room to a room in the main building since no one else was there lol! So from that aspect, customer service wasn't so great. Also, the receptionist left at ~2pm every day, so she said we could call a golf cart if we wanted to get back to the restaurant in the main building at night, but she wasn't there to call it or help us plan activities! However, it was so peaceful and I would stay there again. It came recommended to us by Roatan Divers, and they even picked us up from Xbalanque's dock numerous times, so if you're a diver I would recommend this as well.

This is an excellent place to stay in Roatan. My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our time there. EVERYTHING about Xbalanque was amazing. The rooms, location, beach, pools, staff, food, drinks, - everything. It's a few minutes from the reef, a short 5 minute water taxi to West End, and an easy 15 minute walk to West Bay. Despite that, it is a very quiet, peaceful place. Perfect, perfect, perfect.

We celebrated our daughters’s 10th birthday in Roatan and had the pleasure of staying at Xbalanque Resort. This immaculate and secluded property sits on a private beach. The well appointed rooms are above and beyond. The food was perfection. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The owner, Patsy, was present and the perfect host. They made every effort to ensure we had a lovely trip…. Right down to a surprise birthday cake for our daughter. We will cherish the memories we made at Xbalanque forever.

The Xbalanque hotel is tip top notch. I love the art all throughout the hotel. The gym is nice with nice views. The pool is beautiful and a nice size as well as the hot tub. They even have a very nice gift shop which is where I purchased a new nude bathing suit and a cute long Moo Moo and some earrings. The ocean views are breathtaking any time of day. The staff are so helpful, patient, social and so nice.

Amazing beach front resort with the friendliest staff on the island. Great food, lovely wines, fantastic beach & dock that are peaceful & well maintained. Felt like we were staying at a friend’s place ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. Highly recommend either Heliconia or any of the beach front rooms.

Just returned from an 8 day stay. Property is beautiful and what an amazing staff. The food was exquisite and the chefs were so accommodating in preparing us a unique meal with our catch of Wahoo and Tuna. This quaint place is more like staying with family. So sad to leave cannot wait to return. Texas Girlie Girls.
