Chesterfield Inn

Upon our arrival (during a snow storm), we were greeted by a lovely and friendly woman who checked up in and gave us the overview. Our experience at the Chesterfield Inn was fantastic. This is an Inn with newer amenities and antiques to add New England charm. The location is quiet and country. Our room (#20) was private, large, spotless and comfortable - complete with a romantic fireplace. A complete breakfast each morning served with a smile and total courtesy. We had dinner in the restaurant one evening, which was just perfect. I had leg of lamb with mint chimichurri that was cooked to perfection. I would highly recommend the Chesterfield Inn!!!!

Excellent place. Well run establishment.The room was huge, comfortable,very clean and updated. The restaurant was great - the included breakfast was very very nice and service was great. We had dinner one night and it was excellent. It is nice to have restaurant on site, because there aren't restaurants nearby, although there are some in nearby Brattleboro. Would definitely stay there again.

Spending time at the Chesterfield Inn during foliage season has become a tradition over many years. I look forward to checking in for a week of relaxation every October. I love all the conveniences of “my” room facing the pond. Even though I don’t travel with a pet, the pet friendly rooms are the best with every amenity you could want plus they are more private and offer the illusion of seclusion which I find very appealing (in reality you are mere steps away from the main inn). Room service is readily available for breakfast and dinner. Service is wonderful and the food is delicious. I always feel very spoiled by the staff when I stay at this inn. I left this time around feeling refreshed and with my October 2025 reservation confirmed. I highly recommend the Chesterfield Inn to anyone seeking a superior travel experience.

Traveling thru the northeast on a leaf peeping vacation. Stayed at Chesterfield Inn for the night in room #23. Excellent room with all the comfort of home. The gas fireplace was a real treat and helped knock the chill off. Had a wonderful breakfast the next morning before we continued on our travels. The dining room and food were excellent and all the staff that we interacted with were gracious and friendly. Would definitely recommend staying here.

My co-worker and I had a wonderful time staying here for a conference at Landmark College in VT. The room was well appointed and clean. The food was delicious at breakfast—-the daily fresh baked muffins were my favorite! I would absolutely go back.

My husband and I were so very pleased with our one-night stay at the Chesterfield Inn. I booked this night on relatively short notice on Memorial Day as we were going to Woodstock VT for two nights that Tuesday-Thursday. Booking was easy and all was as advertised. If anything, my expectations we exceeded by the lovely experience. We were notified that the restaurant would not be open on the holiday although they would be serving full breakfast in the morning. They provided a list of restaurants nearby and we opted to go to one on the list in Brattleboro VT for a late lunch on our way to the Inn. The check in was efficient and easy with great customer service. Our room was perfect. Although we could see the main road from our room, we never heard any traffic noise. We had cookies and snacks in our room and had an amazing night's sleep. In the morning there was coffee available off the lobby which we enjoyed prior to showering and being seated for breakfast. The delicious meal was a highlight of stay with my husband raving about the apple pancakes made just as he remembered from his youth, made with fresh apples, not apple sauce. I enjoyed my omelet with fresh veggies and wheat toast. Service was phenomenal. We departed for our trip to Vermont and were notified that we left our rainjackets in the closet, and they held them for us until our return. Excellent experience and I highly recommend Chesterfield Inn!
