Liked · This place is really lovely and has an amazing location - it takes 5 minutes walk and you are at the most beautiful beach in the area - Selong Belanak. Hotel is small and staff is amazing and warm, the owner also lives there and is always happy to have a nice chat. Everyone is so welcoming and helpful. Place is clean and quiet. There is a nice pool with some sits. There aren't any mosques in the area so we could finally get some proper sleep there :) the wifi was also very good in this accommodation. They provide you with access to the unlimited drinking water which is really good. Disliked · The only thing that we were not very comfortable with is a bathroom - it is really nice but not very practical - it is very hot there during the night and it does not cool down much at night. There is no ventilation there and on a hot day it is a bit of a challenge. We could also use some small fridge in a room. Restaurant is a bit overpriced for the area but you can easily find loads of food options in the beach.

Be very careful and aware: All the services they offer in this hotel are double or triple price of what they actually cost, so be attentive and book transfers by taxi online or directly with drivers and surf lessons directly at the beach! You will find online the best surf school and how to contact them without giving a ridiculous cut to the hotel which is making you to think you got a better price with them!!!! 🙂 the same with laundry, it’s 3 times more expensive! If you work or need internet be aware that it does not work quite often and randomly, -not only depending on the weather-, and it’s very slow, we couldn’t work normally and we moved to another place where they have generator for when the storm comes and electricity shuts down (which is quite often). We have complained plenty of times about internet and the answer is the same every day: “we will call to ask what is wrong”. We reserved a room with them, then they told us that the room was not booked for us and then the price was double just because they had more rooms booked. When we booked a month for monthly price we found out we were paying more than our neighbors for exactly the same month rent. We rented a scooter which was switching off randomly and one day we got stuck in the other side of the island trying to turn it on, some local people helped for half an hour but when we returned the scooter a bit after time they charged us with half a day rent! They make you feel like a money machine. Very annoying and disappointed. In few words: greedy place to stay! For much better price you get similar place not too far away. Hope it helps!

This small oasis in a quiet and absolutely beautiful area of Lombok I can only recommend. A warm welcome by the hotel staff makes you feel like you reach home. The setting, the atmosphere, the staff, the owners, the interior - simply perfect and everything you need to switch off. The lovely owners are also very friendly and helpful if you need any information etc and staff can organise you scooter or other transport if needed. Not to forget the food - delicious, fresh and healthy breakfast and also yummie dishes for the rest of the day! I stayed seven nights - during that time there have been solo travelers, couples, groups of friends as well as families with young and older kids - so really a place that everyone enjoys. Within a few minutes you're at the endless white beach with its Warungs, you can take surf lessons or just chill with a book while waiting for the water buffalos which are passing by in the evening. It hasn't been my first stay at Suku and it was definitely not my last one either! Hopefully see you soon!

Ich war 6 Tage in diesem kleinen Hotel und habe meinen Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Pluspunkte sind das Restaurant mit leckeren Gerichten (Beurteilung basiert auf täglichem Frühstück und 1x Abendessen). Die Mitarbeitenden sind aussergewöhnlich freundlich und sehr hilfsbereit, sie nennen dich beim Namen und schenken ein Lächeln, besonders erwähnen möchte ich Isna, aber auch den Rest des Teams. Die nahe Lage (rund 7Min über einen Naturweg) zum wunderschönen Strand ist toll! Auch das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist top. Einzig zwei negative Punkte: 1. das Badezimmer ist meiner Meinung nach eine Fehlkonstruktion. Oben an der Decke offen zu beiden Nachbarszimmer, so dass man jeden Toilettengang, jedes Zahnpastaspucken und jeder Duschtropfen hört. Zudem ist die Decke abgeschrägt und glasig mit einer ‚Storre‘ was zwar im ersten Moment hübsch aussieht, den Raum aber unglaublich aufheizt. Die Duschbrause hätte in der Ecke der Dusche platziert werden sollen, damit der Wasserstrahl nicht ins ganze Bad spritzt. 2. obwohl ich das Besitzerpärchen fast jeden Tag gekreuzt habe, grüssten sie mich nie, fragten nicht wie es geht oder wie der Tag war (so wie es die Mitarbeitenden machten). Ich beobachtete ihren Kontakt zu anderen Gästen als kommunikativer, mich hat man nicht beachtet, was ich sehr schade fand, es braucht nicht viel…
