Oakover Guest House

We recently stayed at Oakover for our holiday . The hotel is in a great location,away from the town .It was spotlessly clean ,the bedroom was very tastefully decorated and it had everything we needed . The breakfasts were delicious well cooked and there was so much choice.We would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone . Thank you so much Simon for your hospitality. We will see you again soon. First impressions were good, unfortunately that soon changed. The bed was the worst experience we have ever had. Mattress every time you moved it squeaked springs could be felt when we looked underneath a blanket had been pushed under to support the Mattress. Shower had no control on heat . It was cold for First few minutes then went to scalding could not change. Room was advertised with jacuzzi, it took 35 minutes to fill? The whole room needed cleaning, clearly not been cleaned for a long time. Dust all over the room. The kettle had dust inside that you could clearly see where you run you finger. TV screen was covered in marks. Wardrobe runners were black when you wiped a tissue over. Overall room was very disappointing. Another couple told us there room was much the same. On the upside breakfast was nice. To get to the car park was extremely tight.

We were in Weston Super Mare to view a sports car we were thinking of purchasing, and we booked for 3 nights, our bedroom was very nice, and suited us for what we wanted, their method of breakfast ordering suited us as I am a fussy eater so like to select which ingredients I want. Very good accommodation, well run, with plenty of information available about the area.

Just had a lovely 5 day stay with family, had 3 Beautiful spacious rooms, tea coffee kettle and fridge, excellent breakfast plenty of choice and cooked to order beds very comfy, walking distance to beach and town centre, car park to rear of property would definitely stay again thankyou simon

We stayed in rooms 4 & 5. And have to say we were delighted with the rooms. Very spacious and very clean a lovely luxury feel , and the bathrooms were beautiful especially the large corner baths. First class breakfasts with plenty of choice and all cooked fresh to order. The hosts Simon and his team were exceptional, nothing was to much trouble. Would definitely recommend and stay again We couldn’t have asked for anything more

Travelled with friends to Oakover Guest House. We had booked 2 superior rooms ,which were as described ,with ample room space and facilities ,tea and coffee making ironing board and iron ,mini fridge and bottled water. The on site parking was also an added bonus albeit a little narrow entrance to rear carpark as the property is rather old but well maintained ,and parking is not always possible in some places. The breakfast selection was really good with a wide selection of cereals and fresh fruit pots . Fresh milk on small bottles in fridge were a novelty experience we had not come across before. Simon and his wife , offered freshly cooked hot breakfast which was plentiful and choice of what you wanted from a tick box reusable menu , all in all a fantastic place for anyone visiting Weston Super Mare ,we wouldn't hesitate to use again and would highly recommend it to anyone wanting a place to stay.
