Had a very nice room with a sea view, been here several times over the years, the food was very good and ample, the xmas dinner was lovely and tasty. Entertainment was okay, had good singers on every night but would have liked a bit more variety like a comedian/ singer. Easy to get to other places by bus, we went to Bridport one day on the bus, catch it near the kings statue no 6 bus stand. A nice scenic drive. A very good value holiday , look forward to coming here again

The only thing keeping this hotel afloat is the restaurant staff ! The room was like staying in your granny’s room that has not been used for a few years, poor bathroom facilities and not very clean. Everything is done on the cheap, just a step up from a “ boarding house “ Daish’s seem to choose a really good location and that is all their hotels have going for them, always under staffed and cheap food. I will definitely not be using any of their hotels again. Don’t stay here if you have mobility problems, everywhere has stairs but only one lift.

Went on a five day break with Daish Travel , most of the hotel has just been refurbished, it was excellent, the staff, the room , The food, I AM GLUTEN FREE, So had to pre arrange my food , which was excellent, good choice,every day , ,you also have the option to go through a middle door into the Prince Regent Hotel next door , Both hotels have good evening entertainment,with the Regent having a massive dance floor ,and beautiful architecture, superbly decorated , both hotels had 2 nights half price bar 🍻, and great coffee shops !

Excellent Location and Staff Very Friendly. Food Excellent. Short walk to the beach and town centre. Train station only a few minutes walk giving access to local towns. Bus stop directly outside the hotel and while £3.00 bus fare is in place you can venture along the coast.

The coach trip was so relaxing, our first such holiday and such a pleasure not to have to do the driving. A very warm welcome was given to us on arrival. Hotel room though dated was spotless and had all we needed. Clean comfy bed, hot shower, fluffy towels, tea and coffee making facilities, amazing seaview. Foodwise, the meals were delicious with plenty of choices, portions more than adequate and service in the restaurant outstanding. Evening entertainment was varied and something for every music taste was on offer and the bar prices were reasonable. We will definitely be coming back. Recently retired this is the way forward for us holidaywise.

Really loverly hotel, staff are brilliant and can't do enough. Beds comfy and amazing bar staff. Would deffo recommend this hotel, it's nice and warm and and room was big enough for wot we needed. Food was good and service was good. The bar is a nice relaxing atmosphere and homely

Staying at Russell hotel at the moment in room127 same as previous reviewer. Cannot fault the room , nice and warm, big room with huge windows and sea view. Lovely bathroom with walk in shower as requested. Dinner every evening is very hot and plenty of choice Breakfast is good cereal toast and a full English. Half price bar, what is there to complain about!!! Staff friendly and helpful, entertainment every night.

We stayed at the Russell hotel the food was always cold when asked to warm it up it was no different the table was rocketing told to put some beer mats under the bedroom we were in 127 was terrible cold and damp the wind and rain was coming in through the window all the seals had come out of the window they were on the balcony the room was very very cold no radiator in bathroom so it was to cold to shower in the end I ended up with blood shot eye and stiff neck and shoulders causing me pain.

Initially our room was very cold and I found the heating had been turned off. We were supplied with a convector heater which made a massive difference. The bath room was way above average size but again an bit cold until the heat worked its way through. The food was very good but at times the restaurant service was a bit disjointed We had live entertainment every night and it was very entertaining. Our coach driver was first rate and kept us all informed and entertained on both journeys. our first visit since Covid and it will not be our last.
