No. 98 Boutique Hotel

A real boutique gem right on Weymouth’s seafront. From the moment we arrived, Derrick made us feel welcome with his warmth and personal touch, taking time to share local tips and make sure everything was perfect for our stay. The hotel is beautifully styled with a calm seaside theme, spotlessly clean, and our room had a wonderful view over the bay. Breakfast was outstanding—fresh, generous, and beautifully presented. What really stood out, though, was the genuine hospitality. Derrick’s care and attention made the whole experience memorable. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Weymouth.

We had to stay at this hotel because our train back to London was cancelled but we would not stay again as there was no wardrobe or hanging space of any description. The tiny bathroom was nondescript. I was cold all night insofar that I had to sleep in my outdoor clothes. There was nowhere to put our luggage. If it was on Four in a Bed I certainly wouldn't pay the £125 a night for it.

I arrived at No. 98 Boutique Hotel on a Sunday afternoon for a five-day stay and was warmly welcomed by Derek. He provided helpful information about the hotel, recommended great places to eat and even carried my bags upstairs. Derek proved to be the best ‘front of house’ host I’ve met. He engaged with guests, sharing great stories, and offering suggestions for places to visit. My sea-view room was gorgeous, spotlessly clean and ever more lovely than the photos on their website. I was lucky enough to be in the room with the largest shower, and the bathroom was pristine, stocked with towels and lovely toiletries. The bed was so comfortable, dressed with a soft feather-down duvet and pillows. I slept very peacefully. Every detail in the decor had clearly been thoughtfully chosen, all thanks to Suzanne, who works behind the scenes to make everything lovely for guests. The welcome pack in the room was a nice touch. Tea, coffee, milk, bottled water, and biscuits were all provided. The room also featured two comfy chairs and a tall fan, offering a break from the heat and a nice place to relax without having to lie on the bed. Breakfast each morning was wonderful. I’d read glowing reviews about the breakfasts here, and they’re all true! Everything is freshly prepared to order - using local ingredients - which is why you’re ask to choose a breakfast time slot when checking in. In addition to the cooked options, there’s also fresh fruit, cereals, and juices available each morning. The hotel’s location is perfect - right on the esplanade by the Town Clock - just two minutes from the train station. Bus stops for exploring Dorset - including an open-top ride to Portland Bill - are only a few minutes walk away near the King’s Statue. I had a truly wonderful stay. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend No. 98 Boutique Hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing, comfortable, and well-located break. Consummate hosts, fine tuned, they know their stuff. Spotlessly clean, airy well decorated stylish and comfortable rooms. Delicious breakfasts to start the day. They love what they do and it shows. Recommend.

Clean clean clean !! Lovely 9 room bed and breakfast .Central location . Beach across the street! Room was lovely 2 twin beds ,Nice plush Duvet, comfy bed . Fan in the room ( no A/C ) big window to open ! Room 5 was quiet ! Bathroom nice spacious walk-in shower . All amenities included plus nice big towels to wrap around you ! plus some nice little touches . Breakfast was included , delicious full English which was cooked perfectly. My sister would have like a little fridge in the room for milk for her tea ! Derek was very personable. Would stay here again ! Would recommend for fellow Canadians, you will not be disappointed. !

2nd time staying at the no98 and very unlikely it will be our last. The hotel itself is really well presented and impeccably maintained. There was about a year between our stays and the place was still as fresh and clean as before. However, where the no98 really excels is it's personal touch. When you arrive, you're greeted by the lovely Derek who, along with Suzanne, run the show at No98. Derek is also your host for breakfast which is an exceptional way to start the day. I have no issues at all with the classic breakfast buffet that most hotels provide, however there is something beautiful about starting your day with Derek and consistently excellent food, made to order. You will always leave the hotel to set out for your day with a smile on your face and feeling well fed and looked after. The perfect way to start a day in Weymouth.
