Lodge Bordeaux

Recently, my wife and I stayed three nights at Lodge Bordeaux. This property is relatively close (by car) to eateries, shopping, and tourist attractions. We stayed in a studio suite, which was very nicely decorated, clean, and spacious, and had an assigned parking space right outside the door to our suite. My wife and I have nothing negative to say about Lodge Bordeaux. Our stay was enjoyable, and we highly recommend this accommodation to anyone visiting Whangarei!

A warm welcome to this comfortable, clean and well appointed unit. Excellent bathroom with spa bath which we didn't use, but the shower over it was great. A good bathroom and comfortable bed are essential, so a double tick. We took the offered option of room service for breakfast and it was worth it. Fresh and hot and delivered to the door right on the nominated time. An interesting name far from France and not a vineyard in sight ? The owner could not enlighten us, the name came with their purchase.

This motel is outstanding, far superior to any other in Whangarei. This was our second visit here and we have booked to return next year. The standard of cleanliness is more than you may expect but it is the extra luxuries we enjoyed. The spa bath, the underfloor heating, the dishwasher, the heated towel rail, and the extensive entertainment system. All the comforts of home. Welcoming hosts complete the picture. We took a 1 bedroom apartment which was quiet and set well back from the road. I cannot recommend this establishment more highly. Go there for comfort on every level.
