Landscaping: Minimal Lobby: Narrow, unadorned Staff: competent with tattoos and multi-colored hair Elevator: One slow elevator for three floors Room: King suite is good size, furniture is marred and old, dark carpet is drab, mattress is a bit soft, but good. There was no bar soap, the shower curtain needed cleaning. Noise: Plenty of noise from nearby rooms and outside. No road noise. Fitness room: Not good. Two treadmills, one out of order, one recumbent bike, foot strap on only one pedal, weight bench, but no weights. Narrow room, not much floor space for ground work. Clock didn't work. Business center: No privacy, in the middle of the narrow area between the lobby and breakfast area. Breakfast: Good Internet: 26 Mbps down, 8 up.

Prompt professional staff, military friendly, clean, spacious, conveniently located. Cozy beds. Competitive prices, great value for the money spent. Clean towels and linen. Pet friendly. Equipped with what I needed to be able to relax.

The staff was amazing. Very friendly and helpful. The room was super clean and the bed was comfortable. The only reason I didn’t give the property a five rating is that the shower floor was so slippery I felt like I could fall at any moment. There was no grab bar in the shower itself; there was only the one as you got out. Supposedly the tubs will be replaced soon and the surfaces will be safer, but confirm that before you check into Room 331.

In short, find somewhere else to stay, if you can. We came to Willcox to see Chiricahua National Monument and the sandhill cranes. If I had it to do over again, I'd find another city to stay in. I think the Holiday Inn is about the best hotel in this town, but that isn't saying much. This hotel does not live up to Holiday Inn Express standards. I've stayed in many Holiday Inn locations over the years and find most of them to be clean and pleasant, and some have been downright wonderful. This property is shameful, frankly. It looks shabby on the outside, but more importantly, it's shabby on the inside. The wall in our bathroom was literally rotting away, and the tub was filthy. It didn't drain, which meant I was standing in several inches of dirty water while trying to get "clean." It didn't help that the two choices for the showerhead were a trickle from the center, or a circle of mist. I don't like a particularly hot shower, but the water was even too cold for me. The walls were so paper thin that we could hear every word of the conversations going on, on the rooms on both sides of us! Maid service woke us up on our checkout morning because the computer system automatically checks you out, whether you are ready to check out or not (I mentioned this problem to front-desk staff, who laughed and said "that always happens!"). Everything is just dirty and old. The walls and doors need a fresh coat of paint. The elevator is ridiculously slow, and the carpeting inside is ragged and fraying. The breakfast was among the worst of the free hotel breakfasts we were served at hotels during our entire vacation. The oatmeal had and inch of water floating on top, there was no orange juice, no pastries, and the pancakes that came of out of the machine barely cooked. Bleh. We were headed back to Phoenix the next day - I honestly wish we'd just continued on our journey and found somewhere nicer to stay.

Nice hotel, clean friendly staff. It can be a bit loud with guest slamming doors. I spoke to front desk about this.Oh and the front desk clerk at check in was a younger guy and amazing. So helpful! Other than that, it was enjoyable and I would return.

Wore out and put away wet. This place was due a refresh about four years ago from the look of the interior. I will say everything looked clean but the place is tired and needs help. Simple things wrong that could be fixed, like an alarm clock that is broken, can't be set to a specific time and just keeps flashing. A TV that doesn't work. A tub that has its non slip finish worn off and looks nasty. Carpet in the elevator threadbare. I'm not sure what other options there are in this town but I won't be staying here again.

Decided to stop in Wilcox when driving to New Mexico as it was half way to my destination.. Checked in late after 7:00p. Joined IHG as a member as I had previously stayed at a Holiday Inn Express in San Francisco which I enjoyed so I booked this room in advance. The desk lady was efficient. The room itself was clean but the tub looked as if a sticky mat had been removed leaving the adhesive. The gunk from the adhesive had bunched up in places all over the inside of the tub so I had to pass on a shower which I had been looking forward to having. Instead, I washed up with a towel and water from the sink put on the pjs and crawled into bed. The mattress was hard and lumpy so I woke up sore all over. Not my idea of a comfortable bed. Decided to have some nourishment before my remaining 3 hour drive to New Mexico. On a great note, the breakfast was wonderful—real tasting eggs instead that powered eggs stuff served in some hotels. Great tasting pancakes, assorted pastries along with hands down the best apple juice I had ever had at a hotel. The hotel is a mixed bag but a clean shower, better mattress and the hotel would rank three stars possibly. As it stands for my visit 2 1/2 stars for the property as the standouts were a clean room and great breakfast.

Check-in started OK but went downhill from there. Our first set of keys did not work - in fact, someone was already in our room. The front desk clerk gave us another room that definitely needs to be updated. It had chipped furniture, a dirt stained bathtub, and missing tile. Understand that this is an older hotel, but what was disgusting was the bed's duvet was dirty and had hair on it. We called the front desk for the duvet to be replaced with a clean one. The man sent to our room had extreme body odor. He was struggling with changing the duvet and the odor was so bad that I told him I would take care of it. We immediately went down to the front desk and canceled our second night. We received no apology from the desk clerk on duty that evening.

Black beetles crawling on floors, walls, bathrooms, beds. Everyone in our group of 34 encountered these beetles. Reported this to the front desk and was told they come out of the ground each time it rains. They spray for them; however, they reappear after a rain. On the plus side, they had a great breakfast.
