Bluegreen Vacations Patrick Henry Sqr, Ascend Resort Collection

What a terrible experience with the marketing manager. We have been bluegreen owners for over 20 years and were treated rudely and disrespectfully. We wanted the answer to one question and couldn’t get it. What a waste of time. The room was dark and dreary. I will say it did seem clean and the location is great.

-Rm 1421 top 4th floor in bldg 1000, Sept 6-13, 2024. PROS: got early check-in 3:30pm. 1BD 2BA, living, dining w/ 4 chairs and a bench, den, full kitchenette w/ 2burner stove, full fridge, micro, small d/w has a ½ top rack. Shared laundry room w/ 3 w/d in ea bldg. FREE coffee 6-11am in lobby is a nice perk. Coffee starter park in unit, plus soap, lotion bottle both BAs, wall-mounted bath amenities in walk-in shower & tub. Rooms not very big but clean and cute colonial wall paper & bed theme, comfy couch and wonderful king mattress! Awesome A/C!! The staff is friendly, helpful, and responsive to text msgs. A huge plus is the convenient location close to Colonial Williamsburg, can walk to it if so desire. CONS: RCI customers are put in bldg 1000 in the end, it's the oldest bldg where we experienced a lot of maintenance issues like (1) water temperature in the master walk-in shower wouldn't stay hot bc the knob kept slipping down to lukewarm (2) mold in master shower (3) windows won't open to get fresh air in (4) toilet in guest bathroom didn't flush properly. Took several visits by Maintenance staff to fix these issues (resulted in loss of our vacation time), some things couldn't be fixed. Husband sat outside the front lobby for fresh air. Due to these maintenance issues I asked the mgr to move us to another unit, our visit was during off-season (their parking lot and town was pretty empty, no wait in the park or restaurants) but she was not willing to move us bc we were with RCI and had to be relegated to bldg 1000. Overall, we tried to make the most of it. If we didn't have all these issues we would have been happy with our stay here. We would still recommend this place bc the staff does try to make your stay enjoyable and the location is awesome! And maybe others won’t have these maintenance issues, it could have been just our unit.

Not the type of resort we are use to. We finally found another resort and left 5 days early and lost the points and money we had paid to exchange there. Moved to a Wyndham resort that was beautiful.

The resort is adjacent to Colonial Williamsburg and several restaurants. Two great breakfast places are less than a mile away. The appearance of the resort is rather colonial, but all the amenities are up-to-date....and the front desk team is very helpful. We enjoyed our stay very much. There's an indoor pool, but we didn't take advantage of it - we had enough exercise walking around Jamestown and Williamsburg....lol.

The property is ideally located to all the activities in the area. Easy access. Ample parking. Property and rooms were average as I expected but I always hope for better. The rooms were nice but very humid. Our clothes and towels always felt damp. The resort staff were very helpful and quickly provided towels, etc. when we requested them. That said, I wish they would set up a service where you can drop off your towels in a bin on each floor instead of throwing them outside your room/by the door. Inside pool was nice size but a bit humid. Wish the pool area offered more amenities, i.e., vending machine inside pool area, fans. Game room was sad. There were only two games. Photos show more. And the room had a moldy odor. Felt like it was falsely advertised since it showed many more activities in the photos for the kiddos to engage with.

Resort staff was very friendly The unit was clean and was well equipped. The resort was within walking distance to colonial/historic area. It was also close to grocery/drug stores and convenient to amenities. The resort had great amenities: salt water pool, fitness center, game room, grill areas and a nice sitting area with a fire pit.

Location was very convenient if going to Bush Gardens or Water Country. Staff was very friendly and helpful, but the room was not worth what we paid for three nights. Was charged a housekeeping fee for a short stay, which is ridiculous. The room will need cleaned no matter how long you stay. For what we paid for three nights, I would have stayed at my home resort and had a two bedroom, two bath with a garden tub and full kitchen. Room was musty smelling and sofa outdated. Does not have an outside pool, only inside. If it weren't for the large housekeeping fee it would have been an ideal stay. It was very quiet and peaceful.

They charge for a room service fee and I questioned when was the service coming they answer was they came before your check in well from the looks of it they dust or sweep

Stayed here several times. Conveniently located to historical Colonial Williamsburg. We stayed in a 2 bedroom. Nice master suite, fireplace, washer And dryer in room. 2nd bedroom spacious, also has a sofa bed. Nice kitchenette with regular side refrigerator, and indoor pool.
