Holiday Inn Express Williamston

Ok, we checked in last night. I was told doors are broken for entry on two halls, the outdoor pool is broken, the oven for breakfast is broken and parts are ordered (the hot breakfast is why we chose this hotel over others). Very disappointing! So many disappointed guests already. We are here for a large event and IHG can't keep up.

Very comfortable bed, clean room and bath room very clean. good location . Friendly staff and found management to be very good to work with, A good restaurant with in walking distance also convenient to highway 17 and Greenville, N.C. Would recommend this motel.

The room was nice other than the roach climbing the wall when I got up at midnight to go to the bathroom. I was wide awake after that. Wasn't much for breakfast Saturday morning. Sunday was better. Walls were thin, so if you're a light sleeper. Good luck.

I went to the receptionist’s desk November 23, 2023 to explain my family and I have the wrong room. She needed to talk to my sister since the room was booked under her name. I video messenger my sister, turned my phone around so the nasty attitude receptionist could see her. Then this “woman “ snatched my phone from my hand and put it on her desk. I was furious. I’ve contacted headquarters. The receptionist had long filthy looking dark hair with a cow earring in her noise. Not for public service.

We were looking for a last-minute hotel and my husband decided to stop here and see what they had available. This place seems like it’s in the middle of nowhere, but it stood like a beacon to these weary travelers. We got a decent rate under the circumstances, although it was more than we paid for any of the other hotels on this fall break road trip. However, the room was clean and we had no issues. The bedding was comfortable and breakfast was tasty. We like the little omelets they serve at this chain, and I heard they had bacon but I missed out on that. The staff was all nice to interact with. We would stay here again if we were passing through.

This Holiday Inn Express is in total disarray. No closet. Forget hanging up clothes. No soap in the shower, only shampoo and conditioner. No"Do not disturb" sign. Ironing board leaning up in corner. No safe. No luggage stand. No coffee pot. The lobby is nothing but stacks of boxes! I would never have stayed here if I had been told of the condition.

To say this place is a joke is an understatement. We stayed 1-15,16 and first of all got wrong room which was reserved 2 months ahead of time. Second, we had no heat in the room and sleep all night with the door open trying to get heat in room. At 1am they had 3 rooms available and wanted us to pay for another room for 2 people toc sleep in. I have called for a month multiple times, left numerous messages, only to be ignored. The manager, Mike Patel, has even been on site only 3 days of the last month according to employees and even when I called 5 times one day he would not pick up the phone. The cooperate call wasn't any better. Here is your warning!!!!!!!

All the problems started when I tried to cancel my reservation 12 days prior to check in. When I made the reservation, I was told that I would receive an email with my confirmation number. A few days later I still had not received the email and called the front desk again to ask about my confirmation number. I was told that they were having computer issues and that by 7 pm I would have the email. My plans changed and I no longer needed the room, so I decided to cancel. Just to reemphasized I called the front desk to cancel the reservation 12 days prior. I was told that I did not have a reservation to cancel. I talked with Miranda at the front desk and she assured me there was not a reservation in the computer. The day after I was supposed to check in I was charged for a one night stay. I called the front desk and requested to speak to the manager. I was told that he was not in and to call on Monday. I called every day of that week and requested to talk to the manager, (Mike) and was told that he was not in. Finally on Friday I called the front desk and was told by the desk clerk that she had talked with Mike and he said that there was nothing he could do. I called Holiday Inn Express corporate offices and was told there was nothing they could do and it would be handled by the local owner. Holiday Inn Corporate was also disappointing. I have phone records from my cell phone carrier to document the date and time when I called to cancel. The manager did not have the courage to talk with me on the phone. He let his desk clerk handle this issue. Being a retired Army Officer I know how to handle deadlines and unfortunately I trusted what I was told. I will never stay at this hotel again and would never recommend this hotel to anyone. If Mike had been under my command and had done something like this I would have relieved him on the spot! Beware of this hotel because if you have any issues you will not receive any assistance or satisfaction from the manager, Mike.

We spent one night here in room 323, really nice room but the sofa was so low it was really hard to get up (think HIE gets their sofas from the same distributor). There is a highway outside the back rooms of the building and it can be a little noisy when big trucks go by but with the TV on you can live it it and very few trucks go by when you are sleeping. Other than that it was a really nice room, very clean and no chemical cleaning smells. Breakfast bar was okay, seems the juice machine was broken but they did have a limited selection of juice in the refrigerator. Staff was very friendly and the check in and out was great.
