The Landing at Seven Coves

We are currently staying at the Landing right now. We have had ZERO water in the condo for going on 2 days now due to a water main break on the property. Paid $1300 to stay here for a week and we have NO WATER. Toilets aren't working and we can't take any showers. I asked management to be compensated and was told a flat "NO". I told the staff that I was going to leave a bad review and that we would not stay here again and they responded, "we understand". Things happen and I understand that, but to not be compensated for this big inconvenience is out of line. This place has significant memories for me because I came here every year with my family when I was growing up. No more. There are much better, and newer, places to stay on Lake Conroe.

This is a nice location. We had a large family trip for my mom's 82nd birthday. The balconies literally sit over the lake. We had two units - a one bedroom and a two bedroom. One was on top of another. It was very convenient. The two bedroom had two full bathrooms. One was in a very spacious upstairs loft. The loft had more privacy than I thought it would. There is a Super Kroger and an HEB about 4.5 miles away. Super convenient. I highly recommend this place. Yes, it needs an update and is getting a little tired, but the rooms are well laid out and well stocked.

The furnishings and kitchen appliances seemed left over from the 1970s. Texas heat in June is unbearable during the middle of the day and their AC unit could not handle it even though they put Freon in the outside unit. The coolest the room got during the day was 72 degrees and we had the thermostat set to 60 degrees. Luckily, we brought a fan with us from home but I still had to go to Costco to buy a fan for the living area. The maintenance man said the blinds could not be closed because they were broken and needed to be replaced. Finally, housekeeping came in while I was dressing without announcing themselves or knocking. They did not apologize. Instead, they said I should have already checked out but someone had messed up our reservation. So, I had to pack up 4 people's personal effects and get out in just 30 minutes or be charged $211 for another day!

This will be our third visit here. We really like it! The one bedroom we had was large and clean. Great view from the balcony. Short drive to stores and restaurants. Quite and relaxing. It's a 3 hour drive from our house and it's a nice getaway and change of scenery. You can fish from the balcony! Water is very hot and whirlpool tub is very slippery. If you shower put a face towel down to stand on. Enjoyed feeding the ducks from balcony and saltines are great for that. Several different types of ducks and water birds. Not much boat traffic this time of year but during warmer months there lots of boat traffic. Staff is friendly and professional. Nice getaway, you'll like.

I reserved a two-bedroom apartment for a week. Upon arrival, no two-bedroom was available. We got put in a one-bedroom apartment. So we had to use the pull-out bed which was not very comfortable. We could not sleep either as the room we were in was on the first floor. We could hear people staying on the 2nd floor walking and stumbling. We called the front desk and we still heard the noise. We could not sleep until midnight or 1 a.m. for the first three nights. The resort moved us to the 2-bedroom on the fourth night. The room was better in term of space but it was not as clean as the first one. We found pet hair and the pillow cases were smell. We also found a big cockroach. The best thing for this place is the view as it is right on the edge of the lake. I still have not received the response from the manager about the issue I have since last week. Will keep on trying. I reserved this resort through RCI and I asked RCI and they don't seem to help its customer.

Absolutely wonderful beyond words. The room..the property..the lake, the view, nice staff, peaceful, quiet, refreshing and soul replenishing.
