Hotel Heinitzburg

I had an amazing stay of 9 nights at the Hotel Heinitzburg. The service is amazing, the people that work there are very very nice and read your needs from your lips before you say them. They are all very kind and the Food that is beeing served at all meals is always of the upmost quality and tastes delicious every time. I already miss this Hotel. It is one of the best I have ever been to in my life. They also assisst you in finding activities and can serve you with whatever need you have. very clean and beautifully designed rooms. Truly an amazign and stunning Hotel. Both from the outside and from the inside. Can recommend everyone who stays in Windhoek this Hotel and/ore the restaurant Leo's at the Castle.

We stopped here on the way from Johannesburg to a safari camp near Etosha National Park. Very comfortable beds, not too close to the airport so not terribly convenient for overnight stay. Staff is very kind and attentive. Rooms on the street side are quite noisy at night and early morning.

The hotel was so good we came back at the end of our holiday for an extra two nights. The food is excellent and complimented by an extensive wine list. It has an incredible view overlooking Windhoek and the gorgeous sunsets. We also loved the breakfast which comes included. It’s a buffet breakfast, best enjoyed outside on the terrace with a newspaper and complimentary glass of bubbly! The staff and manager were very welcoming and tended to our every need. We were genuinely sad to say goodbye to both them and the hotel.

Hotel Heinitzburg was our last stop in Rwanda. We arrived there after a three week trip throughout Namibia. We were treated with a glass of sparkling wine and escorted to our rooms. The Hotel is small and high above the city. The views are amazing. The rooms were spacious and nicely decorated. The closet space was huge and also had a small refrigerator and safe. We had dinner there and had a wonderful seafood dish. Unfortunately we left too early for breakfast but our friend said it was great too.

We stayed here at the beginning and at the end of our 2 weeks Namibian tours and this is the perfect stop over. The rooms are very large although a bit dated and the staff couldn’t be more helpful. The pool area is very pleasant and the view of the town from the terrace is beautifully breathtaking especially at night…couldn’t fault it!

We had a one night stay at the hotel and overall, super pleasant and relaxing. We had a room with a private pool entrance (basically a side door leading straight to the pool) and it was nice to lounge there and play some cards. It was pretty quiet (only one other couple) and we were able to order some drinks from reception to be delivered poolside. We were welcomed with complimentary champagne, water in the fridge and pool towels at reception. We also ate dinner at the hotel with great views of the city and a beautiful sunset. Customer service was top notch! The steak and fish was delicious and actually, the best part was probably the sorbet. So fresh! The breakfast the next morning was also one of the best breakfast buffets I've had in Namibia with fresh blueberries and honeydew, salmon/cured fish, and fresh bread. Everything was great until about 8:30am when the jack-hammering and the noise from next door (I think they were preparing the room next door). Anyway, I would still recommend but just to note that maybe to eat breakfast during this time so you're away from your room.
