Marriott Hartford/Windsor Airport

I stayed for two nights during the week in June. This is a nice time of year to visit Connecticut. The hotel is clearly rundown. The elevators have scratches on the walls, there is chipped paint in the rooms, the bathroom fixtures are old,and there are other signs of general wear and tear. The hallways outside the rooms are dark, which is a bit depressing. The mattress on my bed kept on slipping sideways as it was sitting on a plywood box spring. My room was sufficiently large, and had a mini-refrigerator as well as a safe. There was even a small desk which was useful as I was on a business trip. What makes the hotel worthwhile is that the staff were friendly and helpful. Kathleen, a hostess in the M-Club, was particularly kind. She even organized for the hotel shuttle to take me to the local Target to do some shopping for pharmacy items. Most of the other hotel employees were friendly as well. The complimentary breakfast they had in the M-Club was limited. They did, however, have a small amount of fresh fruit. Dinner snacks within the M-Club were even more limited, unfortunately. I used the pool, which was well-equipped with extra towels. I did not use the workout room.

I recently came into Windsor from out of state to do some technical training with members of my sales team. Absentmindedly, what I did not do was set up a place in which to do that training ahead of my arrival. I spoke with Octavia Camby, the Catering Sales Manager and the individual in charge of coordinating the hotel's numerous meeting spaces. She listened to what my needs were and was able to set me up right away. I cannot thank her and the staff at the Hartford/Windsor Marriott enough for getting me out of this jam and making our training a success.

I usually stay at the Marriott in downtown Springfield,MA, which is about 20 mins away, but I decided to give this hotel a try and am glad that I did. It's a 3-star hotel with a 4 star vibe. Rebecca in the restaurant was personable and made a great rum punch, Aleetha ( I believe) was great at check-in and upgraded me to a beautiful, newly renovated room on the 8th floor and lastly, Tonie. She will be the reason I plan on staying here again in 3 weeks. She was A+

I recently held my 50th High School Reunion at the Marriott. We chose this location because it is close to the airport and I had quite a few classmates flying in the for the event. The evening was a stunning success! The details were arranged with Octavia, the Catering Manager, who worked with me and chef to provide the best product possible that would fit within our small budget. During the event, my expectations were exceeded by the exceptional service provided by Joyce, who was my main contact for the event. She was assisted by Tamiya and Ruby, who were my servers, along with Tina the bartender. Tamiya and Ruby were well organized with the timing of the food service and my program, and quietly performed their job to perfection. Tina kept the drinks flowing and the crowd well entertained. Four awesome women who gave me and my classmates a night to remember! A special Shout Out to Joyce ... I am a retired professional Meeting Planner who has traveled the world and managed meetings for 500+ people. I can tell you that Joyce is most definitely at the top of my list of hospitality staff who go above and beyond without being asked; she just instinctively knew what I needed and when I needed it. She was professional, friendly, efficient and definitely "knew her stuff"... but most of all, she was kind. I highly recommend this hotel for any functions - business or personal - you might need to manage or attend. They treated my little group of 50 like we were a big corporate function, and I am grateful for the courtesy and respect they showed me and my classmates. They made me look good!

The hotel is huge and has plenty of parking. The check in was fast too. The room was a typical business style hotel room; however, was very comfortable. The restaurant is really quite good for a business hotel, and the bar makes great cocktails. Only problem was screaming teenagers running through the halls all night (why is the Quiet Time Policy not enforced). The hotel is also advertised as an airport hotel when the airport is really about 20 minutes away.

Just a warning, even if you book a specific room type online you are not guaranteed that room. We booked for 2 double beds, but they filled them all before we arrived and were incredibly rude when I asked for the room I actually booked, and instead gave me a room with 1 bed. The 3 ladies behind the front counter were incredibly rude about the entire situation and during check in. I would stay somewhere else.

Recently enjoyed a three night stay here. Wonderful hotel with nice rooms. Parking is free and plenty. Rooms were very clean and quiet. Staff was very friendly and they have daily housekeeping which I appreciated. Hotel breakfast was wonderful and staff was friendly. They have an indoor pool which looked nice but I didn't use it. I understand hotel gets lots of conference groups and sports teams. I did notice lobby area at night was loaded with people and a bit loud. No problems and the noise never left teh lobby area which was good. Lots of kids running around though. Didn't bother me. Hotel is also in a good area close to restaurants and Hartford area as well. Look forward to my next stay when I am back in the area. Keep it up!

We were a group of 15 colleagues who stayed in Marriott Windsor for 3 days. We had also booked a conference room for meeting preps and had got snacks and drinks catered in. Staff was extremely welcoming and cordial. Special shout out to Octavia Camby who was our sales catering manager who went out of her way to ensure that the entire group was taken care of. I would highly recommend staying at the hotel for business and leisure purposes. Thanks Octavia for making our stay extremely comfortable.
