Great stay, staff were excellent, nothing was too much trouble. The three course meal was fantastic and breakfast. Hotel very clean and a great atmosphere, I would definitely visit again. Our children bought this for Christmas and the price was very good.

We, two couples, had a superb one night break at The Dog. I do not 'do' reviews but feel, on this occasion, that I should as everything was really excellent. The staff, particular shout out to Matt, were all welcoming, professional, attentive but not intrusive, The rooms, while not spacious, were really well appointed and the beds superb. The food was absolutely brilliant. We had the Winter Tasting Menu with Wine flight and loved all we were given Breakfast spot on too. Thank you to Marc and all the team for giving us a real lift.

I organised a breakfast meeting for 15 people. The food was excellent and the staff were very attentive to ensure we were well catered for. The rooms are lovely and comfortable too. We also had an evening meal and that was delicious! Very polite staff.

An eclectic mix of quality accommodation, wonderful food and professional hospitality in a delightful village location. The Dog has managed to fuse hospitality and rest in a superior experience. The stay and eat deals are amazing value, if you want to recharge your batteries then this is the place.

Warm welcome, and dinner on both nights delicious. Easy access for exploring NE Kent. Not being a dog person myself, I was anxious, but during our stay dogs were in decor and name, not in reality. Access to rooms would be not easy if mobility an issue.

Went for a couple of nights, eating in the restaurant both evenings. Room on the first night was small but we'd arranged to move into a lovely suite for the second night which was great. Food was great both evenings, all three courses. Staff could not have been more welcoming and helpfully, evening preparing us a sausage sandwich for us to take on our very early departure before breakfast was being served. Would go back.

We absolutely love The Dog. Very friendly and welcoming staff, comfortable accommodation (Room 4 with a four poster bed is simply magnificent), but the most outstanding feature is the delicious food. If you have a dog, this is the place to stay. And if you don't have a dog, this is the place to stay. We cannot recommend it too highly.

An excellent relaxing gastropub in a pretty Kent village. We stayed for 3 nights & the accommodation was comfortable with lovely beams in our room. Very characterful with a wet room ensuite. The bed was very comfortable & easy to fall asleep in. My husband & I dined in each evening. The menu was excellent & a nice touch was the amuse bouche. We found all the staff welcoming, helpful & friendly. There is obviously a great team. We would definitely return again.

Lovely country inn, really lovely welcome from the team even though we was very late arriving. Breakfast was great with plenty of options. Room slightly small, but ideal for what we needed. Flying visit so didn’t get to experience the hotel fully, but would definitely stay again.
