I was very impressed when we drove up to the Carriage House. Very charming!! When we went in I was absolutely stunned!! The living area and dining room were absolutely gorgeous!! Our room was very nice and elegantly furnished. The grounds were breathtakingly beautiful!! So many pretty flowers!! We were there on a Monday so we were unable to have breakfast. However, judging by the beauty of the dining room, I imagine the food must be spectacular!! Coffee, tea, water, fruit, granola bars and cookies seemed to be available to guests at all times. I really enjoyed coffee on the porch in the morning !! Jan and Grace were very friendly!

Great B&B in a convenient location. Historic house with charm and a great breakfast. Small rooms (as expected from a house this age) but it had everything we needed and was quite comfortable. There were multiple common areas inside and out to relax and mingle with other guests. We enjoyed our stay and hope to have the opportunity to return.

We are returning guests at the Carriage House, and we’ve just had a lovely stay in the Library Room. This room was beautifully decorated and so comfortable. The hosts are so cordial and helpful.

I am fairly certain there is not a finer place to stay in Winona, MN. Beautiful inside and out with a touch of elegance and class in all of the elements of the property. And a delightful bonus is that the same holds true for the two hosts, Jan & Grace, mother and daughter. They will make you feel welcome from the moment you arrive! They have grand life experiences, and treat all others with respect and dignity. And they know the area and have a wealth of knowledge about things to do and places to visit and restaurants to enjoy while visiting. I am fairly certain you will not meet two finer people!

The Mansion itself is amazing but the experience Richard and David create is hard to describe. They put together a truly first class breakfast that served as the only meal we needed each day. And their attention to detail makes everything that much better.

My daughter is a student at WSU and we enjoyed every minute of our weekend together at the Carriage house. Truly wonderful hosts, fantastic room, and the breakfast was out of this world. Very thoughtful details like coffee and tea anytime was so appreciated. We will stay here again and again. This place is a gem!

We were in Winona for our daughter’s graduation from WSU - an event that happened across the street from the inn making parking and access a breeze! The rooms are historic and cozy with little details that feel like home - fires, tubs, wine, etc. Breakfasts are delicious and served with a warm smile and welcoming conversation. A sun porch with fireplace, games, coffee, and movies provided a space to gather outside our rooms, and we took beautiful grad photos in the living room of the inn by their sparkling Christmas tree. Being repeat customers, our food and coffee preferences were remembered. This mother-daughter team makes a trip to Winona a dream. Add dinner at Nosh (get the mushrooms!), and the trip is complete.

It's our anniversary tradition to visit different B&Bs around MN each fall, and this one has become one of our favorites! The hosts are lovely, the accommodations are wonderful, and the breakfasts are spectacular! It's within walking distance of downtown which is nice, and they give good restaurant recommendations. They were very accommodating and we will definitely be back again! I recommend this spot for Winona visitors.

What a gem of a place to stay!! Lovely combination of old wit new! A true find! Would stay here again, hands down!! Bed was so comfortable; room was lovely; breakfast was outstanding!! The owners were charming!! A place you MUST stay!!! We will be back!!
