We have just returned from a 3 night stay at Premier Inn Wirral (Heswall) The staff were lovely, helpful, friendly and welcoming, however the quality and standard of the room left a lot to be desired. The bed appeared to be clean and was comfortable, but the rest of the room was shabby, chipped and had scuffed/marked paintwork, dusty skirting boards and carpet edges, mould on the window frames, a leaking gutter splashed all night, heating controls were slow and confusing to operate. The internet connection was so poor, we were offered a free upgrade to Premium so we could watch TV one evening. The room only had towels for one person, though it was booked for two. On request, we were supplied with more towels, and also borrowed an ironing board and iron, from the very helpful duty reception staff. The bathroom was scruffy with dirt/mould on the bottom of the shower curtain and around the bath grouting. Having stayed in Premier Inn accommodation in other locations, sadly we did not feel that this venue was up to the usual high standard.
