Wirral (Heswall)

Disappointing. No mobile phone signal in the room - had to go to the entrance of he building to make a call. Poor wifi. Only one set of towels in a twin room. Poor choice of breakfast at 10am which was the only time available to book. No pastries, no berry compote and hardly any bread left. Falls very short of what I expect from a Premier Inn.

A warm welcome from the whole team was followed by a perfect stay in difficult family circumstances. Thank you all for your kindness and sensitivity. The meal deal was perfect and excellent value. We will not hesitate to return here when the need arises.

What a huge disappointment. I used to live in Heswall and we returned to visit friends. We understand that there are future plans for expansion and improvement. On arrival there was plentiful parking, friendly reception and easy check-in. The room was scruffy and below standard. The heating control was very poor. The bathroom was scruffyf, the worked only intermittently meaning the door had to be left open to have a shower otherwise the mirror couldn’t be used. We had to ask for extra towels as they were only supplied for one person. The bedding had dye stains on it. There were stains on the furniture, scuffs on the furniture and stains on the curtains Bar opening hours were very minimal considering it was over Hogmanay. There was no atmosphere, the tables were permanently set up for diners although there were very few people we saw dining. Breakfast was very poor, very small choice of continental items, cooked breakfast at times was inedible and on the final morning, the bacon was off and smelled rancid. This was reported but we were offered no replacement or alternative. We have stayed in several Premier Inns over for many years and this was undoubtedly the worst we’ve ever experienced. We would definitely not recommend nor come back. My only hope is that when the expansion and refurbishment are done things will improve to be in keeping with the up market area that Heswall is.

Hotel is in much need of refurbishment and unfortunately one of the poorer Premier Inns I've stayed at. Room was clean but very tired looking. Also no sockets close to the bed which was inconvenient for phone charging and a very poor WiFi signal. A delay in checking in as no staff available resulting in a queue formed behind me. Overall a very average experience and I wouldn't choose to stay here again.

In many respects this was an excellent stay. Nice staff, nice room, good breakfast. Pretty much a 5 star stay save for the fact that we had no wifi in our room, at all, for the entire weekend. Clearly something was faulty but it did detract from the stay.

In the room I was in (I think one of the newer rooms) I'd no phone signal and neither the free wifi nor the premium wifi option would work. I was staying with my elderly mother who was a few rooms further along and had no way of getting in contact with me if she needed to, and there are no phones in the room to contact reception. Room, bedding etc was clean - standard Premier Inn. We didn't have dinner or breakfast so can't comment on the food.
