Well this accommodation did not disappoint. It was immaculately clean, the bed was comfortable, the bathroom was spacious and the view was stunning. We were upgraded to one of the four poster rooms with a separate sitting room and it suited our needs well. The upgrade was volunteered by the proprietors and was not sought. What a delight it was though. The rooms were warm and there were spare blankets, bath robes and quality toiletries. I think whichever room we had would have been a very positive experience. Breakfast was wonderful, plenty of choice, fresh fruit juices, delightful coffee. The full English was very nicely cooked, as was the scrambled egg muffin we also tried. The proprietors were charming, parking and situation was idyllic. One of my favourites, a small thing but so welcome, was the availability of fresh milk in a fridge in reception. The beverages in the room were first class all round. I can highly recommend this for a stay and we hope to revisit in the future.

Andy and Tanya are fantastic hosts - the rooms are always immaculate (we have stayed in 3 of them so far) and breakfast is always wonderful! The Dunkery Beacon Hotel is set in the heart of Exmoor, the views are amazing and it is such a peaceful place to stay. There is so much to do and see in this area ~ you won't be disappointed!

My husband and I wanted a relaxing, quiet and peaceful weekend, this is exactly what was waiting for us. On arrival Tanya and Andy were the perfect hosts, Andy helped us to the room with our bags and we started to talk about restaurants. We mentioned that we had tried to book Reeves in Dunster, unfortunately it was fully booked. Andy came up with some other options. About 15 minutes later there was a knock on the door, it was Andy, he was on the phone to Reeves and had managed to book a table for us for the evening. The accommodation was excellent, our room was very comfortable, and we had a beautiful view over the Somerset countryside towards Dunkery Beacon. The breakfast on both mornings was beautifully cooked, with excellent local produce and I can highly recommend the full English. Andy and Tanya were always available to help and advise, and nothing was too much trouble. We will definitely be returning.

A brilliant place and such kind and welcoming hosts. The perfect weekend break in a wonderful location. The room was extremely comfortable and the breakfast delicious. Well positioned for visiting Dunster, Porlock, and walks from the doorstep onto Exmoor.

We had a nice room with a view over Somerset countryside. The breakfasts were delicious, and served hot. Tanya and Andy went out of there way to help us with recomendations for dinner and tours. I can recommend Dunster castle, and the Tanya's recommended walk from the hotel.

Breakfast included locally sourced produce which was delicious. Andy & Tanya recommended places to visit/venues to eat during the day and evening which were spot on - we were spoilt for choice and booked ahead of our break to ensure a place to eat every evening. Our luxury double room was immaculate with lovely decor, breathtaking views of the countryside and Dunkery Beacon. The location is superb, very peaceful and a short drive to many nearby attractions. Superb in every way. Any breakfast wish catered for and everything of excellent quality. The greeting was warm and friendly and this continued throughout our stay. We were more than happy to be there enjoying the Hotel and all the area had to offer, We will definitely be returning. Thank you Andy and Tanya.
