My son and I stayed recently and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The bed and pillows were comfortable and breakfast was excellent. We had the pool to ourselves and in the morning they opened up early so we could swim before we left. Excellent value, we will definitely come back.

Lovely Hotel but no access to any amenities as it is located off the dual carriageway. However, we found ir to be very clean and convenient for our stay. Coffee & tea facilities was very appreciated, they give you real milk in a flask. Breakfast was plentiful and very good. My only comment is that it is served a little too early, (from 8.30am - 9.30am) even on a Sunday. We didnt take advantage of the pool, but in warmer weather it would be a great asset. Staff very friendly and helpful. Would stay again.

If you're looking for a calm, peaceful break, where all you want to do is wake up to birdsong, Fernhill is the place. The most gorgeous hotel, still with its original character, grand hall with spiral staircase, wonderful bedrooms with a super-comfortable pocket-sprung bed, and the friendliest couple running it, with excellent local information and advice on where to go, and how to get there. Perfect location too, set in woodland between Charmouth and Lyme Regis, with an easy coastal walk to both with fantastic views. We had such a relaxing time away from the office, and are already planning our next stay! Oh - and a shout out to the lovely day who served a very excellent breakfast!

Lovely hotel located close to Charmouth and Lyme Regis. Perfect for our visit to Ruver Cottage HQ. Our light and airy en-suite room was clean, well appointed and equipped and had wonderful views of the countryside. Breakfast was excellent and dinner very enjoyable.

Great location near ro Lyme Regis Golf Club and a couple of miles from the town. Very comfortable room, the owners do everything they can to make you feel welcome and address any queries. Full English Breakfast and (optional) dinner were very good. The only downside is having to order menu choices in advance.

Best bed I've slept in for ages! Staff friendly and efficient and a really good location for the Jurassic coast. Pre-ordering breakfast was a bit of a bother, but manageable. Dinner from 19.00 was too late for us as well sadly, but plenty of restaurants and pubs in Lyme Regis. Overall, would definitely return and would recommend to anyone.

Fernhill Hotel is a comfortable, family run hotel - Rob and Jo are extremely friendly and helpful, as were the young staff members. The hotel had all we needed for an enjoyable week in Lyme Regis. Our room was double aspect and airy with comfortable seating and lovely pool and countryside views. Particularly appreciated as the weather was mostly wet and our room was a relaxing space to return to. However there was plenty to do in Lyme Regis despite the weather - Beer Quarry and caves, the museum in Lyme Regis, a visit to the Town Mill with a pretty riverside walk. Food at the hotel was well prepared and tasty and the dining room, snug and bar relaxing. Great to have a pool although due to the weather we only used it once. Outside were nice seating areas and plenty of easy parking.

Jo and Rob who own and manage the Fernhill Hotel business and have done it for 17 years are absolutely genuine lovely people. Whilst coming across chilled and relaxed they manage their business in a very professional way with charm and pleasant respect for their customers. They are both very hands on and are superbly supported by their staff. The location is beautiful, quiet and natural with ample private parking. There is the added bonus of an outdoor pool and the food, both breakfast and dinner is superb. If ever my wife and I want a break down this way again, this hotel will be seated at the top of considerations. Well done Rob and Jo, you made our 3 day stay extremely enjoyable.

Outstanding hotel. Excellent staff and great service. Go and have a great time. The Rooms, Food and Facilities are all first class. We enjoyed our Golden Wedding Anniversary there and the atmosphere and ambience were just first class. Thank you so much.
