Best Western Bristol North the Gables Hotel

Very friendly staff, lovely comfortable bed. Staff very apologetic due to work being carried out but was not noticed.

We stayed for 2 nights over a weekend and had a nice sized room, better than we'd hoped for bearing in mind the price. The bathroom was a little small and tired compared with the bedroom. The strangest thing was that our room was unusually not made up during our stay (but this is made clear in the room guide) although we did ask to get new towels. The staff were very friendly. Breakfast had a good buffet selection of hot and cold, and we ate as much as we wanted. We also had one evening meal in the restaurant that was very good, although as others have said, a little pricier than the hotel standard suggests (we paid £79 for two for three courses and a drink). It's very conveniently situated just off a main road, 5 minutes from the motorway junction. I'd recommend.

Good parking space, room was neat and tidy. Beds were comfortable. The hotel staff were kind and helpful. Overall the areas were maintained very well. Definitely recommend for a business and family trips. Wish there were a small fitness centre.

We stopped at the Gables for a late lunch yesterday however as expected it was too late for the restaurant meal. Still, the Manager who seems to be a happy employee there welcomed us warmly and kindly suggested a pub lunch instead. Foods were delicious and plentiful! Place was very well maintained to higher standards. That was such a great experience!

This is classed as a 3 star hotel, I don’t know why. It is decorated to the highest standards, the room was lovely. All staff were helpful and friendly. I know there are some amenities not available for example gym, swimming pool etc, but I would class it as a 4 star hotel. I bought a package for £175 which included bed & breakfast, bottle of wine in the room and £50 towards a meal in the Marco Pierre white restaurant. Overall I thought it was fantastic. I would definitely stay again.

Excellent stay, very good clean and tidy room, first class breakfast choice of quality items and first class service generally. Friendly and efficient staff. Have stayed many times before and this hotel is our first choice when staying in this area.

We used the hotel as a base and ate in each evening. Great venue, ideal for visits in the area and superb food. The staff were very friendly. The little extras were wonderful, i.e., wine, money off dinner and chocolate. The food in the restaurant was absolutely fabulous.

Stayed here for work as it was local to where I needed to be. The hotel is adequate with an acceptable size bedroom and no noise from other guests or outside. The food in the restaurant is overpriced - for example a tiny side salad of a few leaves, a couple of tomatoes and some dressing for £5 is a bit steep. One positive is the location - I was able to go for a nice run in the countryside before breakfast along some quiet country lanes.
