Britannia Airport Hotel recensioner

Smelly rooms. Stuffy ventilation. Very noisy as the windows are not sound proof. The lenin is horribly smelly, we wore sandals just to make sure our feet won't get dirty from the carpet. Cheap and pathetic hotel. Will never book here. No drinking water. The tap says not drinking water, the hotel guy said, yes. But boil it and drink! I was appalled!

Despite the word Airport being in the name, the actual airport is nowhere to be found—perhaps it took a holiday. My room came with a massive 55-inch Akai(!) telly, which was almost big enough to distract me from the equally massive gaps in the windows masquerading as ventilation. I enjoyed my stay, truly. But would I book again? Hmm, let's just say I'd sooner take my chances with a budget airline's baggage policy.

Friendly staff, very helpful, nice food and a nice clean room

Stayed a night with a friend of mine after a football match. Staff was very friendly amd even got a free upgrade to a double double room. Free parking was also great.

Hated the decor of the room, very bad phone and hotel WiFi, beds were horrible back ache when woke up.

Convenient for the airport with transfers at a good price. Room wasn’t perfect but served a purpose for a one night stay.

Friendly staff at reception. Male cleaner a bit impatient. We were just about to leave and he knocked the door at 9.59am when checkout time was 10am. Last time we stayed he knocked the door at 9am and again 9.30am.

The room I stayed felt terribly cold. There was no heater. The shower system of the bathroom wasn't working at all. I had to improvise using a Disposable to aid my bath. It wasn't a nice experience at all. With regards to transportation, there were no readily available cab services from the hotel. The number I was given to call practically drop the call on me and not ready to help. I felt terribly disappointed.

Decent bed and average room , basically bed , wallpaper , and shower , tv bog standard worth £50 a night not a penny more

It was for a family leaving party due to going travelling for a year. And my husband worked here

Boiling hot public areas. Too hot. Stifling. No need for it, when its mild outside, and it was. Pleasant service from all the staff I spoke with. Had a meal in the bar, which I ordered at 21.15, which I thought was pretty good, the fact that the kitchen was still open. I went straight to bed afterwards, so hadn't noticed that neither the kettle nor the TV in my room worked. Disappointed really, and, cheap room or not, hardly what you expect. I reported it to reception and got a free coffee to take away, since I was checking out. On balance then, a mixed bag, but I would stay again. Where else can you get a room in Manchester for £34.

We ended up at this hotel by accident. It turned out to be a very pleasant and comfortable stay. The staff were so welcoming, polite, and very helpful that I left wanting to return. Do set your alarm if you need to be up because the blackout curtains will have you sleeping until noon.

Good price for a Saturday, clean room the only thing I don't like is that it is hard to get mobile data signal in some rooms and they charge for WiFi. Must be a UK thing charging for Internet in 2024, most other countries offer customers free WiFi.
