Great for someone who wants a chill time away from crowds in Xi’An. I quite liked the rooftop. You can see a nice sunset from there. My problem was I could barely sleep at night since there’s a toilet with a shower inside the dorm room and there’s no sound insulation so it was super noisy whenever someone uses it. ( and of course you can hear everything…oops) Some people used the toilet even at 2 am or 3 am so yeah keep that in mind if you’re a light sleeper. Overall the room is clean and the staff were helpful. Thanks!

okay location, there was an entire food block there. can wash and hang dry your own clothes on the rooftop. good view from the roof. roommates were nice but not so clean, but cleaner than an average chinese hostel

Safe and comfy sleep. Rooftop area is nice. Good location but a bit hard to find without Google Maps. Clean but not keen on the smell of cigarettes pervading the hallways and lobby. Thankfully the female dorm doesn't smell of cigarettes. Maybe it's a Chinese thing, this is the second place I've come across where there's no stairs between the first and second floor where the accommodations start. You have to take an elevator. However during the day there is a ladder set up to connect the first and second floor. All in all it's a nice place. I'd go back again and recommend the place. Good value for money.

The main staircase is located outdoors, which makes it less convenient for regular use and primarily serves as a fire escape route. This configuration indeed reflects specific local circumstances. Regarding the smoking area in the lobby （as permitted by regional regulations）, you're correct that maintaining non-smoking rooms would become significantly more challenging without this arrangement, exactly as you pointed out. Very friendly staff, was able to stall my bagage after checking out. The bed was fine for the price you pay and I really enjoyed the rooftop terrace. The location within the older part of the walled inner city gives a great opportunity to see all the beautiful landmarks in that Xi’an has to offer. Definitely recommend.

Great hostel. I stayed in female dorm and everything was super clean. The room was huge and had two bathrooms with hot showers, toalet paper, soap, shower gel and shampoo. The location is in the muslim quarter in the old city. The girls at the recepton desk were polite and nice. The detalis in this hostel are amazing (like hook for the jacket, tray to put your things, electronic lockers, hot drinkable water). In my opinion the best hostel in China.😊

Virtually a legit 5/5. The 7th floor roof terrace is very nice indeed. The bathrooms were clean, equipped with Western toilets and tissue paper was provided, as was shampoo and body wash. Each bed had a curtain, internal outlet and foldable table and clothes peg, plus lockers were provided, which can be opened with a fob key. Reception is 24 hours. Slippers are also provided and there is a mini shop downstairs and a small kitchenette with hot water for noodles and drinks. Laundry is also available. The only slight negatives are that all 7 floors are accessed only by 1 elevator and the reception area absolutely stinks of cigarettes due to chain smokers.

I'm mixed about this hostel. Friendly staff well the gentleman and the lady with glasses were. Smoking in common area and even dormitory which to my understanding is illegal after complaining. Whole place stinks of cigarettes. Heater set to 28 at night so won't up with dry mouth in a pool of sweat. Every. Single. Day. Showers and floors mopped daily. Excellent roof top Terrance that would be a blast during summer. Personally wouldn't stay again due to smoking and intense heater or at least A205 that had me copping the heater all night no matter how often I turned it down. Sadly smoking in the dormitory was the dagger. The other staff didn't care.

As a non-smoker, you are entirely free to avoid that area. The temperature is maintained around 26°C. You turned off the air conditioning in winter, which was unbearable for us due to the cold, so we turned it back on. If you cannot adapt to local customs, please remember this is a hostel. You need to consider others’ needs as well. This is non-negotiable. It’s unfortunate that the comment section doesn’t allow images to *prove* how problematic you are. Among the many international guests we’ve hosted, your behavior stands out as shockingly poor. It’s hard to believe you come from a developed country （I won’t specify which, as every other guest has been far more civilized）. Your stay caused unimaginable difficulties, including booking a female dormitory as a male and repeatedly ignoring hostel rules. If not for our goodwill tolerance toward visitors from afar, your actions would have already crossed the baseline of acceptable conduct, *buddy*. When you poured liquid on the bed, we asked for clarification, but you ignored us and were promptly blacklisted. Yet you continued harassing our staff via the platform, threatening us—seemingly with ulterior motives, or as you phrased it, “exercising your legal rights to penalize us.” I still retain screenshots of my firm rejections to your demands. Overall, this entire situation feels utterly absurd.
