Old locust Homestay

Legit a humble abode most suitable for couple/ solo travelers - living like a local with its location and house style. Level 3 & 4 rooms are almost perfect with balcony just a step away from smoking. Road outside is under construction so that's a little workout there with the luggages but owner has the most initiative in helping and welcoming. A one man show but he is just a wechat away in almost any help needed possible. Been missing the quiet stay since flying back home ☁️🫧

We stayed for 3 nights and honestly it was the best homestay we could ask for. It's so difficult for non chinese speaking people to travel in China and the owner helped us out with so much! (Finding restaurants, talking to our tour organizers in Chinese etc) There was a terrace with tables outside the room we stayed, where it was nice to have food and drinks we got from the supermarket. The owner was super kind and prepared us with everything we need during the stay. Would definitely stay here again if there's a chance to revisit Xi'an.

Excellent location near the southern gate within the city wall. Walking distance to the bell tower and metro. Very clean with excellent facilities. The host/manager is also a very helpful nice guy. Highly recommended.

We visited Xi’an on the 14th and 15th October 2025. We stayed at the Old Locust Homestay in the Beilin district. We had a lovely room and the comfortable bed was great! The Homestay way beautifully decorated! The proprietor was so helpful and couldn’t do enough for us. He manages everything in the Homestay himself! We had an early start one day as we were going to see the Terracotta Warriors. We had an early ish start to the day. When I asked about breakfast, the proprietor took it upon himself to go out and get us breakfast even though it stated they didn’t provide breakfast. This bowled us over! He provided local food to our surprise which was lovely! It has a beautiful roof top garden which would be lovely to relax in but unfortunately the weather had turned a bit cold for us to use it. All in all we had a lovely stay in the old wall district giving us plenty to look at around the area. We loved Xi’an and hope we can persuade you to book at this Homestay.

The guest house was as per the picture, clean, quiet, and the owner was extremely nice. The roof top garden was great for an evening drink and you can see the city wall from there. The neighbourhood is so nice with all the calligraphy shops. There is a coffee shop at the corner of the street called Jiangdou Book Store they have great coffee. We loved our time in Xi'an
