Solitude art inn

I cannot express how wonderful this property was. We had the family suite, which had two bedrooms, all beautifully and uniquely designed - one child slept in a nest! The location and approach was dramatic. It is situated in the heart of the bustling Muslim quarter of Xi’an, off a narrow street lined with colourful food vendors and shops. To reach the property you go down a narrow corridor off the Main Street, and we were nervous about what we would find - this is not your typical hotel. But the host met us on the street and helped us with our bags to the suite. The rooms were spotless and the beds comfortable. Everything is hand made and individual. The host could not be more helpful. This was epitomised when my suitcase broke on the way to the hotel (it requires a 3 minute walk)… he gave me one of his suitcases that he didn’t use. The district is very loud and bustling but the rooms are very quiet - set back from the Main Street. I suspect we wouldn’t have experienced this wonderful part of Xi’an without having chanced upon this accommodation. It really made our trip even more special. If you are a traveller who likes a bland business hotel, this isn’t for you. But if you enjoy the experiences of travelling and staying in unusual places, with incredibly generous and helpful hosts, then our family recommend the Solitude Art Inn without reservation.

Our first time travel to Xi An. As our flight has been delayed and we arrived very early in the morning at 3am. The very kind owner waited and picked us up around the homestay area. Brought us to our room and patiently introduced the amenities to us. The location is super convenient with endless of food options just 0m away from you. (Just downstairs) particularly love the 腊牛夹馍which owner introduced to us. Specially mention about the 5star hotel standard cleanliness. The room and toilet is spotless! Especially the toilet. It was prepared with so much consideration, with disposable toothbrush, makeup wipes even face wash. The owner gave us lot of drinking water too and recommended lot of nice local food to us. Basically you have 0 worries. Do try it for yourself. I will definitely be staying with this place again! 谢谢房东的照顾和细心！:)

Great hotel, beautifuly made with very high attention to detail. Tons of free stuff in the rooms. The rooms are quite big, there is a kitchen, although the location is in the middle of the Muslim quarters so there are a lot of restaurants nearby. It's a bit hard to get there as it is in the no cars zone but it's not a problem. Generally great stay.
