Hotel common area, restaurant and room are clean.Hotel is located at walkable distance from iconic Bell and Drum towers.Liked the spacious clean bathroom. Lot of eateries around.I love water bottles kept at the lift entrance to take what is needed.Lobby area tea,juice and light snacks are always available which is nice.Super friendly staff.Breakfast is very good and value for money.Overall I was happy with the experience.

The hotel itself is beautiful and stylish, same as the rooms. Also, the rooms are super clean. Staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was decent. The location of the hotel is around a 10 minutes walk from the bell and a 2 minutes walk from the metro station. Usually the rooms are very quiet and comfortable, BUT there is a very loud melody and long playing from 6am, every full hour until 10pm. Every day I just slept 5-6 hours because I woke up 6am due to the noise, then woke up again 7am. I know its not the hotels fault for this melody to exist or be played, but its very difficult to deal with, especially when you have a light sleep.

*NO AIR CONDITIONER* Okay it says ventilation on the app, however this is the Mercure. What do you mean no AC? The staff were helpful telling me to just “open a window”. And showed me different rooms to try find a cooler room. However one smelled of smoke and the other was facing the same way and on the same floor. Honestly it’s not the staffs fault it’s the companies. I cannot imagine staying here in the summer. I had one of the worse sleeps the second night. The hotel is nice, breakfast was fine but not being able to control the air is stupid. I’ll be fine even if they had fans to rent.

A good hotel with good service and location. Hotel provide plenty bottled water in lobby and at floor level. Hotel also provide snacks in the lobby too

The hotel provided an exceptional and memorable stay, surpassing all previous experiences in China.

This was in a good location, close to a metro line (I walked with my luggage to and fro) and to the Muslim Quarter. The room I booked was spacious and well maintained, and my cleaning lady was an absolute delight making sure to leave extra bottles of water and arranging my slightly messy table for me. But the walls here are thin and I kept getting woken up by my loud neighbours slamming their doors or their noisy children yelling in the corridor. The reception staff here barely speak any English and you will struggle even with a translator app, so just be forewarned. A good example was how I had a small issue with my sink, which was easily and quickly resolved so kudos, but they couldn’t understand me when I tried to call down and explain. I had to go downstairs and try to explain using my Google translate which was an imperfect endeavor and took some back and forth. The staff are super helpful and pleasant but it’s just a difficulty to communicate or seek help on how to get to tourist spots etc.

We loved our stay .. rooms are very clean and spacious. The front staff was sweet and helped us on multiple occasions. Can recommend!

Excellent service by the hotel. There’s cold air conditioning after 10 April. A lot of free bottles of good mineral water all around the main lobby and lift lobbies. Delivery parcels will be placed in deposit room to pick up. There’s robot to send food delivery up to your room. Free washing machines and dryer (2 each) and gym was bright and good. There’s supper (usually porridge) till 10pm and also some snack to bring on your way out. Service staff are friendly to the extend of asking them to help you put the wet clothes into the dryer. Will return to this hotel. If you’re looking to walk around for supper or street snacks, the location might not be the best but is 500m walk to the Muslim street

The hotel provides free self laundry service. Location is convenient, 10 minutes walk to Bell Tower. Easy to get around via metro.

The location is far from main attractions compared with the same rate. The room can not use the air conditioner on cold weather.

Nice place. Not too noisy as it is away from the main street but its also not too far from attractions!

Nice hotel in the centre of Xian. But breakfast is not good for laowai.

The location is walkable to places but still a bit far and nothing much around the area.  The soundproof in the room was not great because I kept hearing the people next door banging their doors and I could hear the bells from the adjacent building.

Good location near busy main road with a lot of foodie places. The breakfast provided although has variety but as tasteless.
