Lanqin Gucuo Mansion recensioner

The hotel is in traditional Chinese style. Clean, quiet, stylish. It is a feeling, like u back in old times and could feel urself how Chinese princess were living. Stuff is friendly, locationis convenient.

We stayed at Lanqin Gucuo Mansion on December 19 and checked out on the 20th. Overall, the location of the hotel is okay, but I must highlight that it is not very user-friendly for people with mobility issues. There are no elevators in the hotel, and our room was on the second floor. Climbing up and down the stairs was quite inconvenient for me due to my leg problem. Additionally, after checking in at the counter, we had to walk to another building to access our room, which involved navigating several steps. This setup is definitely not advisable for handicapped guests or those with similar challenges. As for the room, it was spacious and comfortable. However, the design leans towards a mix of modern and traditional styles. If you are not a fan of such decor, this hotel might not be the best choice for you. In summary, while the stay had its positives, accessibility issues made it less than ideal for someone with physical limitations.

Hidden down a little alleyway. Close to pedestrian street & local food. Convenient location for getting around Xiamen.

Hi -- we are a family of 3 with a 3yo child and this was a great stay. The location is fabulous, just a few minutes walk to the waterfront and main shopping streets -- a great place to wander around. The staff are very kind, welcoming and helpful. The rooms are very clean and spacious. Staying here for a few nights made our visit to Xiamen enjoyable.

What a cute hotel! Right in the centre of town, english not really spoken but nothing a translator app can't assist with. So glad I chose this place.

The property was beautiful, and the rooms were clean. Hot water in the shower worked, and the AC worked.

The front desk is helpful and friendly. The front desk is located at the old house, but the hotel room is located in a different building, which takes about 2 minutes to get to.

Excellent location with outstanding service from the staff.

Convenient location to main shopping areas and food. The hotel staff is generous and flexible (gave us a carton of water and allowed us to check out late). He even booked DiDi cabs for us on his account and let us reimburse him upon our return. Very helpful. The only downside is, the location is off the main street and can be hard to locate. The taxi will have to drop you off on roadside and you’ll have to bring your luggage in theu narrow streets to get to the place. No lifts either

Great for photo, but not for stay

The hotel lobby has a very rustic and nice deco. It was a little noisy over a weekend as there was a wedding on the same level. Location was great, near zhongshan pedestrian road and eighth market.

Old days Ancient theme.The rooms can be improved.Right in centre of city.more like Airbnb style than a hotel. Overall still ok.

Very interesting building, combination of an old villa for reception, tea and nice courtyards, with more recent but charming Minguo-like style building. Great original decoration in public areas. Very authentic. Tatami room was comfortable and clean. Neighborhood is central. Nice staff. Recommended !

Great hotel and perfect base to explore the Siming district in Xiamen! Unfortunately our trip coincided with a typhoon, but the hotel staff were very helpful and looked after us throughout.
