Xiamen Qian Mansion-1929 (Zhongshan Road Maternity and Child Zhenhai Road Subway Station) recensioner

Positives: Good location close to zhongshan road. Lovely building Friendly staff Notes: The bed is very firm. Foreigners, in particular, might not like this. Can improves: The door needs to be rehung to let less outside sound in and allow the door to double-lock The cleaner operates right outside the door in the morning. It's a bit noisy for a long period. Try to use a base to work from that isn't immediately outside the room. The TV box hanging below the TV is ugly. Find a neat place to store it.

The hotel is located among very typical valleys, which is part of its charm. The building is very traditional, surrounded by trees and plants that enhance the feeling of being in an authentic place. Even though it’s nestled in the valleys, it’s easy to get there—you can take the bus or the subway without any trouble. There are also many local restaurants close to the hotel. My days at the hotel were fantastic.

Very interesting building, with lovely courtyards to sit in. The room we booked was very comfortable and we were able to do laundry. Hotel also provided tea in the afternoons.

Very beautiful picturesque building with welcoming service. There were many mosquitos in my room even though I killed like three per day, they just kept coming. The room was also a bit too moist, it smelled a bit unpleasant and the sheets felt moist too.

Beautiful old builing. It is a bit hard to find, but worth it. You need to tell them to clean your room. They dont speak English, but are very helpful and friendly.

After a short trip away, I came back here for another couple days, this time getting a larger room in a different part of the mansion, It was quite spacious & more comfortable than the first room with a huge bathroom. Staff are friendly and accommodating, despite the cold weather the courtyard and other areas within the mansion was still a nice relaxing place to read or work

This hotel is a very old mansion. It brings you back to the China of the 1900s, with a touch of nostalgia. Our room was big and comfortable. The front desk would contact you via WeChat to ask if you would like your room serviced daily. Room was comfortable and clean but bathroom cleanliness could be improved. Water drainage is slow. Some hooks for clothes in the bathroom would be good. Cleanliness of the compound, especially the rooftop could be improved. Access to this hotel is via some narrow lanes. Once you get your bearings, it is actually very easy to navigate the narrow lanes. Location is less than 10mins walk to Zhenhai metro station (Maternity & Child Care hospital exit) and also to the shops and ferry terminals. However, to go to Gulangyu island, you need to use the metro and go to the international cruise terminal to take the ferry. Overall, we enjoyed our stay here and reckon it's value for money.

Qian Mansion is a unique hotel in a beautiful colonial mansion. It's rare to stay in such a special building in an authentic neighbourhood among narrow alleyways. I hope I get a chance to stay there again. The location is also convenient, close to the waterfront, metro and pedestrian streets where there are many food choices. A truly wonderful choice for your stay in Xiamen. The room was basic and comfortable. The staff get 10 stars. They are so kind and helpful. I really appreciate how they helped me considering my Mandarin is poor and I can't read Chinese. I saw how nice they were to other guests as well. My only problem was that there was 2 days of a film crew filming a television commercial. Guests could have been warned that they wouldn't be able to use the full hotel and perhaps received a discount for inconvenience. They took up most of the common spaces in the building and guests couldn't enjoy all the beautiful spaces. Men from the crew were constantly spitting. Spitting on the ground shouldn't happen within a hotel.

This homestay is situated in an alley way.It's hard to find on the first visit. Location is handy to tranport and Zhongshan pedestrian street. We appreciate the we could check in earlier and also the room was upgraded. There is room for improvement for cleaning and maintenance. Overall a comfortable stay.

Compared to the smell of tobacco and being so old, the location is clean and not bad~

這家名宿真的是我住過最棒的名宿，前台的工作人員非常熱情且有邊界感，院子很大，可以慢慢逛，超級舒服，以及有自己獨立的洗衣地點，晾衣陽台，真的超級不錯，很喜歡！他們家還有咖啡吧枱等等，坐在裏面辦公也很舒服！真的超級推薦，下次來一定還會住這裏！

這民宿環境很好，優雅寧靜，臨近中山路就5分鐘路程，小哥哥們服務可好了，也很熱情。嘗試了下午茶和晚安甜湯，感覺都很不錯，特別是晚安甜湯，住了三晚，連續喝了三晚，小孩指定晚間必須喝，因為他説他太喜歡了，解暑必備。 特別滿意的一次住宿體驗，下次再來還會無條件選擇這家。
