New East Asia Hotel (Xiamen International Airport)

Super basic and old hotel for transit. Nothing more. Staffs were impatient and grouchy even when there were not much guests. I wonder why are they ALL so angry about??

We stayed here for our 25hour transit. This hotel is located very close to the airport and they offer free shuttle service. Very recommended and worth the money.

There are many restaurants nearby. The bed at this hotel was very clean! There is also a shuttle service from the airport to this hotel.

Clean comfortable room. Transport to airport is convenient and near. Hotel also comes with trips arrangements if required.

It was truly terrible. The bedsheets were damp and yellowish-white, the bedding felt wet and only partially dried, and the bed was full of bedbugs. In reality, the only good thing is the location. I will never stay at this hotel again and I highly recommend that others avoid it too. The night I spent here was absolutely horrible.

A simple hotel. Don’t expect much as just need to a room to sleep overnight before early departure ex-XMN. As I arrived very late , no room service available, receptionist helped me order a delivery , appreciated that very much. Breakfast selection was great. Healthy choices. Eastern and western mix. I love the breakfast the best. Restaurant staff was also very friendly.

The hotel is located not far from Xiamen Gaoqi Airport, yet despite being so close, you can't hear any airplane noise at all. They offer an airport shuttle service that runs every 30 minutes. You simply need to contact the staff via WeChat once you arrive at the airport; they are very responsive, and it took us less than 5 minutes to get to the hotel. The room condition was excellent and true to the photos. The bathroom has a well-thought-out layout with separate zones for the shower and toilet. The room was free of any cigarette smoke, and the walls are thick, so we didn't hear any noise from neighboring rooms. All necessary amenities were provided, and average breakfast.

I already knew from a prior stay that the reception will not know English for the airport shuttle, so I had gotten the airport customer service to talk to them using this app. The reception gave me a WeChat account, so it was easier to coordinate the airport pickup. For the transfer back to the airport, there were a lot of people waiting around 5am, so it is recommended to give enough leeway in terms of time, since the shuttle is every 20 minutes. But the ride is just around 5 minutes. The hotel even provided slippers.
