Yangshuo The Tong Resort recensioner

Had an amazing 2 night stay at the Tong Resort - it’s well located near Shili Gallery but super peaceful with only 9 rooms. Chinese resorts are usually really loud and busy but Tong resort was pure serenity. The rooms are spacious and has all the amenities you need, not to mention the view from the balcony (simply stunning) and you will never go hungry with a great breakfast, afternoon tea and evening desserts. The staff really go above and beyond, nothing is too trouble much trouble for them. 10/10, highly recommend.

The hotel is simply amazing. The rooms are beautiful with the smallest details well thought out for your convenience. The lobby, restaurant, and outside area are also beautiful and decorated with taste. The view is magnificent. It's so tranquil at this resort. It's a small hotel so there are not a lot of people, which is why I think the hotel staff is able to pay attention to every single detail. The service is even better. There was one person who spoke English and she was very helpful. We were able to communicate with everyone else through WeChat group. They have both local and Western breakfast options, which are made for you within 5 minutes of ordering, so it's fresh. The midnight snacks are delicious. But the staff goes even further. I thought it was very cute for them to notice little things. For example, first day we left out chili peppers from our lunch, so the next day, they excluded them from the meal without asking or leaving a cleaning cloth next to my reading glasses. The staff really pays attention and makes your stay even better. This is more than a 5 star hotel.

Lovely hotel, just amazing and the service was fantastic as well. Very private and the rooms are big, they have a shuttle to West Street, nice pool, just fantastic. Hotel looked just like the photos!

Hands down the best hotel I've ever stayed in China. Impeccable service, amazing food and great amenities!!! Would definitely recommend!! It's near all the scenic sites as well, amazing experience. The breakfast is AMAZING & they offer healthy mid-night snacks for free too!! What a treat

We would like to say a big thanks to all of the staff at the Tong Resort for our short but memorable stay. From a warm welcome to a fond farewell, Tong Resort gives everything you’d hope for. The hardware was all in good working order, the level of cleanliness was excellent and the service is on par or even better than international-level 5-star hotels such as The Ritz-Carlton. Quite outstanding! The hotel reached out to me prior to arrival day for check-in and special occasion arrangements. The hotel has a WeChat private service group where all of your requests can be disseminated at ease; with the nature of our trip being a birthday surprise celebration it was rather effective! The hotel offers private car pick-up service from Yangshuo Railway Station or you may also choose Didi. Upon arrival at Tong Resort, we were presented with welcome drinks, invited to be seated and were promptly escorted to our room. You can tell they have placed a lot of thought into the room features and design; they even embroidered the hotel logo into their bed linen. The hotel offers shuttle car services to and from West Street, this is one of the most famous global streets in China which is a must visit for all Yangshuo travelers. When we arrived back at the hotel, we were spoilt with free late night snacks sent to our room and most importantly the hotel did not forget about the birthday cake which was timely delivered at 00:00. The breakfast by the swimming pool was scrumptious. There is a choice between Asian and Western and you can select as many items as you wish from the menu which in turn gets freshly prepared for you. The team is doing such a good job; although the hotel has only been opened for 2 years, it seems as though the staff as been trained for over 10 years! What’s more, after check out whilst we were waiting at the lobby for Didi, a staff member had the attentiveness to place down glasses of water which she had no obligation for doing. What a nice gesture! At the end, essentially it’s these finer touches that sets a hotel from its counterparts.

location: this is really tucked away in a quiet corner with a beautiful view of Guilin nature. helicopter rides and bike rental is a 5 min walk away. The end of the bamboo boat ride is also conveniently around the corner staff: all friendly, added us on wechat and would help us at any time of day. Outside is also a heated swimming pool restaurant: only serving local dishes, but we found them to be very tasty and well made. At night snacks are served (perhaps not all the kinds of snacks that suit western standards) but still there were nuts and fruit. Room: excellent room with private balcony, jacuzzi and breathtaking view. the room has electric opening curtains and large bathroom with latest gadgets.

This hotel was everything and more from the other reviews that I read! I now understand why there is no bad reviews! The hotel itself is spotless and clean (including the beautiful pool which is circulated at least twice a day with fresh towels provided, water, ice tea and even mosquito spray if needed). The rooms are extremely spacious and it was refreshing to have a separate toilet with a door (something not common in Many hotels). The level of care taken to make sure we had what we needed; from testing results before our flights to being considerate about when it was convenient to bring snacks, clean, provide turndown services, etc. The food is also great but if you don’t want to eat there, it is convenient enough to access many other restaurants. The breakfast is well worth it. It is buffet style BUT you order off the breakfast menu (8-11 as much as you want). Variety of both Chinese and western breakfast options. Across the road there is a place to hire scooters 🏍 and the hotel provides bicycles 🚴 if you want. For those with children there is a large play area available. For those wanting a quiet get away (like we did) it is beautiful and peaceful😊👌 I cannot begin to thank them enough for such a wonderful time spent there. A special thank you too Ester who went above and beyond! The only negative thing I could possibly say is that it was over too quickly ♥️

The Tong Resort is a quality experience, from the moment we arrived and the welcome drink was presented we knew this would be a cut above most other hotels. They showed us to our room, which had amazing views, was luxurious and very spacious. It's well-appointed, the air-con is almost silent and the lighting design is especially well thought out. Perfect. Right after checking in, we spent the afternoon at the pool, which was beautiful, very clean, quiet, and reasonably priced drinks and snacks available. This is the perfect place to unwind and relax. As a foreigner, you will likely enjoy having the pool all to yourself on sunny days as the Chinese guests will probably not use it until later afternoon or sunset. As it's a small hotel there are only a handful of guests here at any one time, so the hotel is usually very quiet. The attention to detail at this hotel is extremely impressive, especially considering that Chinese hotels usually come up very short when compared to their international counterparts. We have stayed at many 5-star hotels in China and The Tong was better than almost all of them. There is room for minor improvement in some areas, but certainly, nothing that would warrant being mentioned for this review. The reception staff speak good English and most of the house staff also speak enough to understand basic requests. The location is great for bike rides and walks and is closely situated for most of the tourist attractions. The restaurant has a good range of Chinese dishes for dinner and is very reasonably priced considering the excellent quality. The food is all freshly cooked, so sometimes there is a wait for the meals to be served. We will definitely be returning shortly.

The scenery of Yangshuo is stunning and we spent hours on bikes and electric bikes, exploring the surroundings. However, every afternoon we looked forward to return to the discrete luxury and warm hospitality of our hotel. The Tong Resort is one of the most pleasant hotels we have ever stayed in. One of these places where you enjoy spending time in your room, on your balcony, in the lounge or by the pool, even when the surroundings have so much to offer. Location is brilliant - beautiful and quiet, yet so close to major attractions. Breakfast’s , Chinese and western selections, were delicious and so were the dinner’s (which we normally prefer to have other places than the hotel’s we stay in). Tong Resort is so tasteful in every detail and we loved our spacious room and the roofed balcony. Last but not least, we have enjoyed the fantastic service from the entire staff. Thank you Easter and all others, for making our stay so comfortable and nice. From your call after our booking, offering us pick up service, to offering us bikes, drinks, meals, tidying our rooms, organizing electric bikes, Covid-19 testing and taking us to the train station when leaving - everything so friendly and effective. We will recommend your hotel to everyone, and will definitely choose you again when we return!

別墅很漂亮，環境優美，設計有特色，裝修也現代，整體挺大的。游泳池孩子游得挺開心，恆温非常贊，雖然天氣冷，但水裡還可以。就是出水麪和進房間這一段很冷哈。房間整體挺滿意的，就是台階有點多，欠點人性化，在房間內走上走下尤其晚上要小心。地暖很好，暖和得很。落地玻璃門（窗）透出院子的風景很漂亮。 服務：挺好的，歡迎水果一大盤很豐富，晚上還有水果，以及養生宵夜，非常美味，每天不重樣。早餐也很好，味道不錯，下午茶也好。管家服務很周到，謝謝。
