Yangshuo Xingping This Old Place Li-River Inn

I would say, this place is good for solo as I was provided a room with privacy even though with common bathroom. It is clean to share. To me, it is a waste to rent a queen bed for 2 adults. So I am happy. The managers are very helpful when my stomach was upset. She gave me Chinese medicine to help me even though it didn’t help me. I am happy to meet nice people & guests. Guests are helpful, German guy passed me the charcoal tablet. It really help me on the next before I depart to next destination. People that we met during the trip is important.

Amazing place. Staff is friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean and the views are stunning. Cozy place where I would definitely come back!

A simple but nice hotel. The view on the public terrace is top notch. Part of an old lovely brick building.

Excellent location, nice clean room, very polite and helpful staff. Highly recommend! More shelves would make the room more comfortable for putting things on.

Western standards, this is not more than a 2 star hotel. Small room and bathroom, only a partial view of the river and mountains, both from the room and roof, and no elevator with 4 floors. We have stayed in several hotels in the Guilin area, choosing those from the middle to the upper end of the price range. The hotel offers a modest room but at a not-so-modest price IMHO. The internet worked okay until about 7PM then went out completely for the remainder of our one day stay. The public areas, front desk, and roof are a little bit disheveled. Photos and descriptions made the accommodations look much better than they really are. The bathroom is so small its almost necessary take a shower while sitting on the toilet. The rooms are small to the point that it was necessary to use a wide angle fish-eye lens to get it all in the frame, especially the bathroom. Two Photos are attached: one illustrates the room and view, the other the size of the bathroom. From my expereince this is a $15 to $20 (US) dollar room.

There were some ants in the room just in bed also. Location is great and staff is helpful. Internet connection was tooooo sloooooow and the terrace view now isn't as good as on photos.
