From the minute we got into the hotel room, I noticed straight away it was not clean. There was missing bed bedsheets, missing bath and hand towels, no hand wash and toilet paper. We didn’t have the do not disturb and changing bath towels door sign. This gave me an impression of they did not even prepare the room after the previous guest has left . I then opened the fridge thinking there was some water to drink and I was surprised with an empty fridge and dirty, we paid for all inclusive. As it was late and we was all tired we got ready to sleep but I just couldn’t and had to contact our TUI REP WITH A LONG MESSAGE AND WITH ALL THE PHOTO PROOF OF EVERYTHING.

The hotel wasn’t as I expected, internet doesn’t work in the room when asking the receptionist the same speech we gonna fix it but nothing was done, I asked for an iron to iron a shirt the guy told me we only have 3 in the whole hotel and they are with customers there’s no full size mirror in the room ,in the bathroom there’s no a shelf to put your shampoo and shower gel they must be put on the floor and many cockroaches at night the receptionists are not helpful the food wasn’t that bad the same thing everyday so I don’t recommend this hotel can find better for less money

I usually review via Google but to fit this in it needs to be on Tripadvisor. We recently stayed at the Sentido Marillia Resort & Spa for a week. The hotel has/is still undergoing renovation. Overall, the hotel was okay but should be very good once getting going properly. Currently it’s only just fit for guests. I’ll give my honest and fair review here. Location: The hotel fronts the beach for Yasmine Hammamet looking out into the Gulf of Hammamet. The hotel is a great location for excursions to the north and south of the country taking equal times for north and south. The hotel is only a 10-15 minute walk from the Medina and other local attractions such as Carthage Land. 5/5 Reception and Greeting: Check-in took our passports and told us to get food. Fair enough, but it was midnight and we wanted the room straight away. They gave us the key card and asked us to wait for a staff member to guide us to the room because ‘they have been having issues and the staff member needs to check the room with you to make sure all is well’ – they also reminded us that if we needed money there was a cash machine, odd but this makes sense in a moment. The check-in did not provide us with any information on where things in the hotel were but did at least let us know restaurant times. The bell boy then took our suitcases to our room. The bell boy took the cases into the room and stood looking around at the ceiling, not to check for issues, they demanded a tip, my response was I have no cash right now (I’m not pulling cash out the ATM to tip the bell boy). After tapping his pockets/jiggling change I had to pull out my wallet to show I did not have cash. We used reception a few times, overall, pretty good. Exchange rate is 1GBP – 3.937D: 98.4% Excellent!! On check-out we gave the key but did not get a thank you for staying or questioned about out stay so no chance to provide feedback on the room. My feedback to the reception team is to welcome guests, ask about their stay. I also recommend giving guests information on what the hotel has to offer, a small pack or similar – perhaps put this in the room and make a magazine with local attractions and obtain sponsors from local bars, locations etc. Maybe even information on your other hotels. They did provide us a room to use for a shower due to late departure from the hotel, this was greatly appreciated. That room flooded too, but not as much. 3/5 Rooms: We stayed in a twin room with a sea view. Rooms are spacious with large beds, sofa, desk, air con, and other amenities. However, they are not completely as shown in the images. Some of the decorations are missing. They have been thrown together too quickly to get the hotel open. The desk in our room (102) was already hanging down from the wall. The shower took too long to warm up by which point the floor was flooded with water - the floor is flat with no sealant around the shower. The water pools and leaks into the bathroom. We had a great time at Sentido Marillia for a weeks stay, it has everything we needed from good food & drinks, amazing weather and an amazing animation team (especially FiFi, Rio & Marcelo), who were always so kind and never pushy for you to join in the activities but always made the days brighter and more fun. All other staff within the bars and restaurants were friendly and accommodating too. I would say sunbeds were reserved very early by people but we always asked the team for any sunbeds they may have and we were brought one over. The were a few problems with the rooms due to the recent renovation which included a few bathroom leaks from the shower and casing not finished on plugs but once these were raised, they were dealt with as efficiently as they could and Mouna was amazing at sorting and communicating with us as well as giving excellent service. There was sometimes noisy construction due to rooms being finished but this wasn't noticeable around the restaurants or main pool areas. Overall, it was a fantastic week and would highly recommend visiting!

Just got back from 11 days here and have got to say we have had an amazing holiday. Yes we did have our issues …. Moved room or with bar staff but these were dealt with swiftly! The staff are amazing going from Fifi, Fati, mimu, Aladdin, Rio and all the animation staff. To Muhammad in the restaurant. Moana who is guest relations is amazing and never stops! Bar staff could do with abit more training but in all we had an amazing time! The food was amazing and we found something every day. The room was spot on….. only thing I missed was a mirror on the dressing table but everything else amazing! Can’t wait to come see you all in September xx

29 Aug Family of 4 – All inclusive (not really…) The hotel was not what we expected at all... the marketing done on social media does not correspond to reality... unfortunately. We stayed in two newly renovated rooms. The renovation was clearly 'in a hurry' as we can see many imperfections… strong smell of paint in the wardrobes (we kept all our clothes in our luggage) … our shower door did not close… as the floor tile was a bite higher which makes it impossible for the door to close. The soap dispenser not fitted properly, no full-size mirror in the bedroom… They need to improve if they want to be considered a 4 star hotel… Pros: The hotel has a wonderful and glamorous entrance. Good location Lovely and clean beach (a few beach sellers but they are not allowed to come to the beach beds) Staff in reception bar - Khaled was amazing, very kind and caring – great service (we which the remaining staff were like him) Animation Team – “Halo, halo” “show time” – they are fantastic… great spirit and what you expected while on holidays!! Rooms clean and tidy – a special thank you for our daily cleaner – Fahima – very professional and kind. Restaurant – very good food with a wide variety of choices. Advise – pls label the dishes Cons: A big problem with ICE!!! The lack of ice for drinks in both the restaurant and the pool bar is unacceptable (an average of 35/36 degrees how can the drinks being served without ice???) and when asked for it the staff shows a “bad” face extremely rude and starting to speak in her own language… really disrespectful. This happens to us almost every day. The pool bar staff where rude an unfriendly!... Alcohol isn't measured, so there is inconsistency with the strength of the drinks. Some cocktails were very strong, even tasted different sometimes… The reception staff were disappointing and for the most part unhelpful and unfriendly– when they should be the first ones to make us feel welcome... lack of information about the hotel upon arrival... The reservation of the beds around the pool, despite numerous signs saying you are not to reserve beds, people actually wake up at 6am to reserve them… NOT ALL INCLUSIVE – Limited drinks, there are only 4 cocktails available on all inclusive (the rest you have to pay) The a la carte Italian restaurant was disappointed the menu was a salad, soup, salmon and creme brulé. The atmosphere was nice, but the food was not great (salty soup… no option for the main… and also for the dessert…) DO NOT RECOMMENDED!!! The third pool (Olympic-size) is barely used as the seating areas are paid for - no one told us… we had to ask… In my opinion is a waste of space really and again not included on ALL INCLUSIVE… We had an issue with one beach towel – someone switch one of our towels while we were in the pool and when we realised that we had reported straight away to avoid any problem with our deposit… the lifeguard/towel guy by the pool said to reported to reception what we have done and surprisingly the r

We’ve just got back from a week’s stay here and I honestly have nothing bad to say at all! The rooms, the decor, the cleanliness and facilities of this hotel were all more than we could have asked for! I really can’t understand the negative comments especially regarding sun beds as there were free sun loungers all day long! The service is absolutely exceptional! You don’t have to tip, but a little really goes above and beyond! It was our first time in Tunisia and we would definitely return and recommend this hotel to anyone! We went out to the Medina and ate in BB House which was absolutely stunning and so cheap! Just got back today from this wonderful hotel. I can only say our experience here was fantastic, we didn't experience anything negative and can only praise everyone at the hotel. The animation team were brilliant, they were very friendly and welcoming. The food was very good, I can be very fussy due to not liking certain foods but can honestly say that there was plenty of variety, yes you get the same choices at times but there's plenty to choose from. We didn't experience any problens with any staff, all were friendly and polite, even just to say good morning to. My husband was ill while there and I must say that the medical attention he received was excellent, thankfully he is find now. Yes we tipped when we wanted to but didn't feel obliged to do so and didn't feel that it made a difference to us during our stay. We're looking forward to returning next year and enjoying ourselves as much as we did this time

A fabulous hotel where everything was exceptional. Every member of the team was super friendly, with nothing ever being too much trouble. A big shout out to Zico from the animation team, who was soo friendly. The pool is one of the biggest i have seen, so always feels like you have your own space. The cabana's around the pool are soo comfortable. The beach has white sand and plenty of sunbeds. The food is amazing with most being cooked fresh in front of you. This is an amazing place where you will not be disappointed. The lady at reception was also fantastic. I would not hesitate to return here. Thank you to all of the staff who looked after my family and I, we lo ed every minute!
