Excellent hôtel

Beautiful hotel. lovely garden and outdoor pool. Spa facilities was amazing. Indoor pool warm and relaxing. Delicious food every day with lots of variation. Friendly staff especially the waiters. Close to beach, supermarket, bar and restaurants. Would definitely recommend it and return.

- Please note before making any reservations, this hotel has a EHPAD section with nurses. - The Bonzai restaurant is reserved for the elderly until 8:00 p.m. After that, you can make your reservation via the hotel reception. - The hotel is dilapidated and does not deserve to be classified 5 stars. - Also important, water is chargeable, 8 dinars per bottle, the same price as Coca-Cola nothing is free - the buffet is tasteless - you will find insects in your bed...The reception staff took my dismay into account and told me that the necessary would be done, but at no time was I offered to change rooms. - Do not reserve deckchairs by the pool on weekends because the hotel owner has them removed due to the high number of guests on those days. You will be invited to go and get them from reception with a moral lesson. - make sure yours is clean when you order a drink by the pool, you might have some leftover mojito...The waitress apologized and offered me a drink in return for the inconvenience. - no entertainment offered in the hotel - Staff is nice

Unfortunately, I did not enjoy my stay at The Russelior. I arrived at the hotel in the very early hours of the morning. I am not sure whether it was due to the language barrier but, despite reiterating and confirming back and forth that our pizza order, they still managed to get it wrong. We ordered a chicken pizza, but they sent us tuna pizza. As you can imagine, after travelling for several hours, this was not a good start to our stay at the hotel. And in spite of their error, we still had to foot the bill. Unfortunately, I did not enjoy any of the food that was served at Le Cristal. I found that the food, regardless of what time I went to eat, was bland and cold (or lukewarm, at best). In particular, I noticed that the rice dishes were always undercooked. If you stay at this hotel, you will go hungry. Le Cristal has a very limited range of drinks - just beer, coke, fanta and water, which is not included in the full board package. I was also taken aback to learn that they charge 8DT for a bottle of water at the restaurant, when you can purchase a bottle of water for 1DT at the local supermarket down the road. Furthermore, on one occasion I tried to eat at Bonzi but was rudely shooed out. I noticed that the restaurant had sat a table and was being served, so I assumed that it was open to all. I walked into the restaurant, and after a confused exchange due to the language barrier, the waiter muttered something that made the guests at the table laugh and ushered me out of the restaurant without explanation. The staff member that he directed me to failed to explain why I was not allowed to eat there, which made me feel alienated. I will acknowledge that when I spoke to someone at the front desk, they explained to me the times when the restaurant is open a la carte to all. I do not have an issue with the restaurant limiting access to elderly and disabled guests. However, for a hotel that claims to be 5 star, I am surprised by the lack of signage on the door or even on the website for that matter. Aesthetically speaking, I think that the hotel is quite outdated. I was comfortable in my room however, our toilet seat was not attached to the hinges so I could not use it comfortably without it sliding off onto the floor. In addition to this, I found ants crawling on the floor by my bed, to which the cleaning staff merely sprayed an insecticide and pushed the rug back on top of the affected area. To summarise, I would not recommend this hotel. I had high expectations for The Russelior and ultimately, my expectations were not met.

The hotel was good, special shout to Hannah and Ninhno. The manager and workers were nice, some were rude. The staff who manage entertainment were amazing and deserve a raise. The room was decent but bring extra extra clothing and blankets as it gets very cold in there

We decided to leave this hotel after the first night... I think the hotel could be good for ppl who do not like any entertainment during the day or the evening and who don't care about certain things... There were a lot of older guests with their respective caregivers, maybe that is their clientèle they r aiming for... But for a regular working person who just wants to have a nice vacation from work and so on, I do not recommend this hotel at all! For starters, the lady at the reception was super unfriendly, which is actually rare for tunisians, so that's a special... When we naively suggested we could be heading to the restaurant for lunch until our rooms are ready (since we arrived during lunch time and check in time is also before lunch is over), she schooled us like small children that we would only get dinner on the first day (the tone in which it was said was tbe main issue)...when I later asked for a second card for the room, she felt it was necessary to comment - again in a schooling way - that they normally do not give out second cards... But at no point would she have taken the time to explain how to get to the beach or that there is a small shuttle vehicle for example... Also, they make you email them the scan of your voucher resp. The booking confirmation to them via email as soon as you arrive, which makes no sense at all since they already confirmed your reservation by looking you up in the system. And ofc this had to be done immediately and fast, and again in this unpleasant tone... Then, during dinner, there was no vegetarian food at all. Every pizza or every quiche had either fish, chicken or another meat in it. The only vegetarian thing were potatoes and 1-2 other isolated veggies. When you ask the staff if the quiches/ tajines contain meat or fish, they either don't know or annoyingly say "it's fine, its with chicken"... They don't seem to have had the best training and some of them even struggle with french... Also, the person i was staying with tried the fish and it was completely overcooked and burnt. The staff/waiters are generally stressed and unorganized and keep you waiting during the whole meal to finally serve you the overpriced water of bottle that you need to pay extra. Then, all the waiters at the bar keep you waiting for an eternity as well. And all the drinks are hugely overpriced, and you are not allowed to bring your own drinks... It's rly not a good deal, and it's better to just go to an all inclusive resort where you might pay more for the night but it's actually cheaper when compared with drink prices (even when only buying non-alcoholic drinks) and ofc more convenient! Then, there is zero entertainment during the day or the night... There is just a pool and some completely abandoned bars. Then, the corridors are not air conditioned and there was always a very bad smell in a certain corridor no matter what time of the day... And the beach isn't nice either... Amazing service by the hotel staff, especially hiba, she speaks amazing English and treated me and my friend like her little brothers, always looking out for us and providing excursions for us, have to mention saif ad deen as well, most welcoming lad there, pleasure to meet them both. Devastated when I left honestly, have to visit again one day.

INCROYABLE. J'y étais 3 semaines en Juillet. J'y étais précédemment en Février. Je connais parfaitement cet hôtel. Un vrai 5☆ Accueil Service Restauration, Personnel, tous disponibles, à l'écoute avec l'envie de satisfaire le client. Merci pour l'attention particulière réservée durant ce séjour, surtout pour l'anniversaire de ma fille. Tout était parfait, équipe de professionnels à tout les niveaux. La tranquillité, le service, la discrétion, la gentillesse... Un grand merci à Mr Azizi, Mme Hayet, Mme Warda ma chambre c'était ma maison. 3 semaines passées en 3 jours. J'y reviendrais certainement. CONTINUEZ à faire ce que vous savez faire le milieu: Rendre le Client Heureux et Satisfait. Mme Benouaret.
