Lovely welcoming atmosphere in this family run guesthouse and restaurant,all the staff we encountered were so friendly and nothing was a problem. Large clean room with excellent food breakfast and dinner, all cooked to order. We look forward to returning in the future.

We had a family room (2 adults and 2 children). Kids had a separate room with 2 single beds. Loads of space, spotlessly clean and beds a dream to sleep in!! The food was amazing, and staff were very accommodating for kids menu choices. Vegetarian options also excellent. Ann's brown bread and chocolate roulade deserves a special mention - chef's kiss!!! We stayed 3 nights and ate there every night as the food was so good!!! Staff were so friendly and helpful. It was that extra personal touch that made our stay so enjoyable 😊 I would absolutely love to stay there again and would definitely recommend to other families, couples or lone travellers. An ideal spot to visit Youghal and the surrounding area.

Lovely big room. Hospitable hosts. Lovely breakfast. Only there for one night, which was a pity, 'cos Youghal is an attractive , interesting place in an interesting area of East Cork. All in all, very very pleasant. I have reviewed the restaurant separately.

This is a lovely townhouse with excellent and accomplished fish cookery. Kate our host was interested in us as guests, went over and beyond to make our stay enjoyable and it's our new go to destination for a short break. Ahernes understand customer service and it's a lovely pearl in Youghal. We will certainly return.

Myself and my husband stayed here recently on a Sunday night. We had a perfect stay! The staff and owners were welcoming and incredibly accommodating. The food was out of this world (seafood chowder was the best we have ever had). And the room was what I would describe as “comfortable luxury”. We have already booked to visit again. And after seeing the junior suite room we have decided to treat ourselves. A beautiful hotel in an incredible location. Couldn’t recommend it highly enough.

Exceptional - loved our two days in Aherne's - first class food, accommodation, location - but most of all, the staff. A fantastic team who couldn't have been more helpful. This is a very special place and should be on everyone's places to visit list.

We just checked out after a fabulous stay with our 1 year old. David and team were so welcoming and accommodating. The service is second to none. The rooms are spotless clean and the food was amazing. We really couldn't fault our visit. Lots to do around the area. A lovely trip!

We like to think of ourselves as regulars to this excellent hotel as make sure to visit from Dublin at least 3/4 times per year and they never disappoint. Family run with second to none food we cannot recommend it highly enough. The rooms are spacious and old world style with super king comfy beds and lovely balconies with the suites. The owners are hands on and always there with a welcome banter for all guests. The food however continues to be faultless with gorgeous local fish that we so look forward to every visit. They also offer great value for money and we cannot wait for our return visit...

I visited this Hotel on Wednesday evening 15th June , as I wanted something light to eat the young friendly lady in the bar recommended a prawn salad with homemade brown bread . It was delicious and I couldn’t praise the food the place and the staff enough. Keep doing what you’re doing and I can’t wait to return soon again .
