Hotel Žabljak

The hotel is not recommended for adults the dont have elevators the rooms very tiny not suitable for big people the bed is very low and nerrow the maintenance is very poor. It is good for young travellers.the food variety at its restaurant is very poor.

Do not stay here. Rooms are dirty, cigarette buts from previous occupants, room not cleaned properly, bathroom filthy, this is a 2 star hotel if that. Rooms are tiny and pillows and linen are stained. Thoroughly disappointing and no where else to go.

Four stars?! Who are they kidding? More like one. There is no lift and barely enough space to swing a cat in our room for two. We were a group of eight visiting. Four of us got twin bedded rooms which they said were fine. The other two couples got a double room which was barely big enough for one person, let alone two. So four of us had a terrible night's sleep. The bed (more like a futon) was right against the wall on my side so I had to crawl in and out at the bottom and spent the night bumping against the wall and my husband as it was a very small double. Also low like a futon. The shower was so low that I, at 5' 4", was okay but my 6' 2" husband had to crouch down to use it. Worse hotel room in a long while. If I hadn't been part of the group I would have checked straight out and found somewhere else. We only ate breakfast in the hotel which was also disappointing - very minimal and a lot of dry, hard cured meats. The location was good in that it is in the centre of town. there isn't a lot in the town but there are a few nice places to eat and also a good supermarket on the corner opposite the hotel. It was also only about half an hour walk to the entrance of the Durmitor National Park.

The staff was very unfriendly from the start, didn’t speak any english while it clearly is a tourist place so thats a minor point. The food wasn’t good in a single bit, also very expensive for what you get. I won’t recommend going for dinner here.

I was having a dinner at the hotels restaurant and was served a raw meat hamburger. I did complain to the waiter, who was very confused and had no idea how to resolve the situation. I asked him to bring it back to chief, so he could see how the inside of the meat looks like. After few minutes, he came back with chiefs proposition to grill it more. As the hamburger was already started, I did not find it fine to disassemble the hamburger like that, so I asked for check in order to leave and have dinner somewhere else. They charged me for this raw hamburger which I took less then 2 bites from.
