Rhulani Safari Lodge

Apart from the spectacular sightings of cheetahs, lions, lion cubs, black & white rhino, elephants, Crimson breasted shrike and the list goes on. We had a fantastic time at Rhulani. We were welcomed by the Signature welcome wave every single time we went out and came back. Our guide, James, the best we ever experienced on a game drive, added a personal touch by remembering stories everyone told. He had an inclusive approach by making sure every single one on the game vehicle gets to see what they asked to see. Being conscious of birdwatchers and non-birdwatchers and making the experience pleasant for all. James has a passion for what he does and our drives were knowledgeable and fun. The staff at Rhulani, all Friendly and professional. Nosa, your warmth and sincere personality made us feel extra welcome. I can mention so many more names, but everyone was very kind. The boma dinner was a highlight ending with Willem& Tom’s marshmallows on s’mores. The food was good too. As South Africans, We go on lots of safaris but the friendly staff & everyone greeting each other on the Madikwe roads are something that stood out for me. It makes the experience so pleasant & relaxing. You meet other friends on these tours just by being indulged in the relaxing experience of this lodge. We will definitely visit them again and highly recommend this for your next stay.

Simply perfection. Amazing people, fantastic food, wonderful rooms, and phenomenal animal viewing. Nosa is a wonderful host and shout out to Michael for our evening and morning walks to keep us safe. The drives themselves though with Ralph are what makes the trip though. Ralph's got big personality and we loved it, kept us awake in the mornings and somehow managed to make each drive even better than the last. Saw the most incredible animals each day, lion cubs 3 different times, wild dogs twice, male lions, cheetah cubs, and then cheetahs with a fresh kill. All the amenities are really icing on the cake we honestly ate way too much food cuz it was all so good. The hidden gem though is definitely the watering hole. Could spend all day and night down there just watching and waiting for all manner of animal.

It's difficult to put into words the overall experience we had on our safari vacation. Apart from the amazing drives we went on with our guide Alister, everything was taken care of before we ever had to ask. The luxury lodges were fantastic! The plunge pools were perfect mid day and after the afternoon drive. The massages were extremely relaxing. Everyone on staff was delightful and treated us like family. Looking forward to our next trip there.
